ADP, Zambrotta and Ferrara have flown back to Italy to see him. It's sounding quite serious.

ADP 06/07 - 23 goals

217 not out!!!!!!!!

It doesn't make sense.
But anyway all the best to Pessotto and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.

Suicide's are not normally planned, most people who commit, or attempt to commit suicide do it from impulse. It looks a lot like an atempted suicide to me.

But the fact that he had the rosary beads in his hand there must have been some prior thought beforehand and not complete impulse as you're implying.

I wrote "Football rivalries go out the window in circumstances like this" earlier, but I managed to edit it before it became permanent...

A report in the Times. I can't quite see the significance of the bit on his parking his car in the underground car park rather than the courtyard, though - I assume the Times isn't trying to infer he didn't want to land on it... Dearie me.

I read that about him parking his car underground yesterday on teh italian sites.. The police were asking if his behaviour was unusual and the reception said that always parks his car in the courtyard but yesterday didnt...

Anyway...from the news on tv this morning it seemed he didnt jump from the second floor but higher up and that he had been suffering from depression.

I hope he gets well soon, both physically and mentally. Seemed like a good guy.

Put in an underated and tireless performance in the Euro 2000 Final.

I hope he can recover from this. I don't know anything about the guy, I'm sorry to say Roll Eyes, but I think I understand his situation - he's the new General of Juventus, am I correct? Sorry if I'm wrong.
It seems like a difficult situation for him to be getting himself into. I just hope for his sake, he's fit for the job. And above all, I hope he can recover from his depression for his and his family's sake.

Looks like he'll be alright physically. Apparently the doctors put Pessotto into a pharmalogical coma by showing him highlights of Switzerland v Ukraine and England v Ecuador.

An odd incident to be sure. He might have retired, but old habits die hard it seems. In all sorts of ways.
