Hey, "Jen Loves Matt", if you happen to bump into Steven Gerrard, can you please personally thank him from me for that wonderful through ball he played for Henry?
We needed those points, it was very kind of Steven to help us out like that.

3 Players? and we bought them in '87. Perhaps you ought to check your facts before you post anymore 5hit! Wink

as for 2nite i predict juve 2.0

How you have the neck to say we were a disgrace in the 2003 final I will never know Roll Eyes. IIRC your pathetic team managed a lucky 6minutes against us, and then proceded to defend until the end of extra time. Your team were a disgrace to the Champions League, and justice has finally been done with the mighty Benfica knocking you out Smile
And another thing, your shoddy team ended up 32 points behind Chelsea last season Eek 32 points behind the Champions is disgraceful. That should be the points difference between top and bottom. And the funny thing is, that at the moment you are 20 points behind Chelsea this season Razz and hopefully by the end of the season it will be far more than that Wink. Let us also hope that Arsenal start raising their game now and end up with third and Spurs get fourth because you are only good enough for the UEFA cup Wink

The transfer fees paid for the Liverpool team that played in Istanbul:

Jerzy Dudek £4.85m
Steve Finnan £3.75m
Djimi Traore £550k
Jamie Carragher 0
Sami Hypia £2.65m
Steven Gerrard 0
John-Arne Riise £4.6m
Xabi Alonso £10.7m
Luis Garcia £6m
Harry Kewell £5m
Milan Baros £3.6m

Vladimir Smicer £3.75m
Dietmar Hamann £8m
Djibril Cisse £14.5m

A grand total of £67.95m paid for the team - slightly more than the £20m you claim. I f you want to check the figures. go here.

Check your facts before you post such 5hit.

According to the papers in Italy, AC Milan are close to sealing a deal with Wesley Sneijder of Ajax. Galliani is reported to be in talks with Ajax etc today before kick off.

Do you think this is another false rumour or could this 22 year old be our saving grace for next summer?

I dont know much about him except from my championship manager days, lol.

Is he any good???

I've heard rumours linking him to us, but then I've been hearing rumours linking nearly every player to Milan recently Roll Eyes

I think Sneijder is a classy player but I would prefer us to go for Diarra. We need a defensive 'wall' type player, someone who can break the play up in midfield and eases the pressure on our back 4. IMO Rino is not up to this task, and has recently let himself down with some poor performances. We can play Vogel there as he had an outstanding game against Bayern, but we need someone for the future.

We also need some quality CB's as well, I'd be happy with Barzagli, Lugano and (if we could get him) Gallas. This would shore our ageing backline up for the forseeable future. We also need at least one RB, and for now I would go with Oddo.

We need to strengthen our weaker areas before we start buying more flair players, otherwise we'll turn into real madrid Eek

I don't think Sneijder is good enough for Milan. Diarra should be signed. The most difficult position to get quality nowadays are the right and left backs. And we need those areas covered for the future. Trouble is, for a team used to players like Maldini and Cafu, you don't see appropriate replacements out there. For the CB, no prob. Bazargli, Lugano, Cris etc. And while we're at it, what about a goalkeeper? Roll Eyes

I watched the Palermo game this past weekend and Barzagli looked very promising. Terlizzi was not bad except for one howler.

Anybody watch the Sinter Milan/Ajax game last night? I thought Trabelsi was excellent. Good runs/dribbles down the flanks. Excellent vision and passer of the ball. Although not so solid on defensive aspects Wink

Sneijder is better than Pirlo when he joined us, now look at Pirlo, if the rumour is true, it can't be bad???

I wouldn't mind Cole at Milan. He's still a decent player. Depends on how much Chelsea offer him I guess.

Well he should shut up about the Chelsea business and just accept he was caught, I think he'd get more credit like that than trying to convince anyone he wasn't interested in a move, fake loyalty and all that.

I heard that Cole has a clause in his contract stating he is allowed to go to Madrid for a certain fee if they want him....

I reckon you should sell Shev (listen before flaming me)...he is nearly 30 and you can get 50million squid a la Zidane. you can do some hefty rebuilding with that cash and we proved with the Zizou sale that if you do that right it sorts your team out for ages Smile

That may be sound reasoning but am afraid not a popular one. Sheva is almost like a symbol at Milan and the fans/management love him. The rebuilding shouldn't need much. A couple of defenders, a holding midfielder and things should be alright. Moreover, if you sell Sheva you need to buy another world class striker, so how does that help you?

Could sell Shev and get Torres for fraction of the price(Shev goes for 40-50 million, Torres in for 15-20 million), although I am strongly against sellin Shev, the guy is a living legend.
