BTW why's everyone suddenly bothered about Neil Barrett designing them? He designed the last shirts

It's called Sex Panther, by Odeon. It's illegal in 9 other countries. It's made with pieces of real panther, so you know it's good. They've done studies you know - 60% of the time, it works every time!

I do like the 'gothic' lettering, though Smile.

This deep v-neck technique also hints at the team’s new 2006 home kit to be released on March 1st.

We'll have to wait to see whether this is simply pretentious tosh for 'and the home shirt will be the same but with the colours reversed'

It is especially disappointing when the Azzurri just reverse colours for home and away kit. This has been the case except for Kappa's first shirts in 1999 when they pushed the boat out by putting a blue stripe across the chest. Surely the kit designers must realise that they could score big if they surprised people by moving from this predictable tactic.

The blue stripe wasn't even an innovation, it was used in the 1960s. Kappa did produce a black shirt. Very reminiscent of the fascist era. Now that's the sort of cutting edge move I like Roll Eyes.

For what it's worth I very much like the new shirt. You wouldn't get the boring fools at adidas or nike producing such a distinctive garment. The only thing I really don't like is the shield, it should have been left unadulterated. The circular FIGC 'graphic feature' is particularly naff.

In any case, every shirt since Kappa took over has been an improvement on nike and diadora efforts of the 1990s.

I still think the Kappa shirt with the stripe was terrible.

I liked both the 94 and 98 shirts made by Nike.

Last night's game I think the away kits grew on my a little, the font is pretty original too. I've got a feeling that if the home shirt is gonna be more than a straight colour swap then it might just be a round neck shirt like last night's keeper shirt plus gold numbering on the back.

Is anyone here actually contemplating buying the shirt? I stopped buying football shirts a while ago because they change too frequently, have less and less class and when they are changed they're only minor alterations. I did get the Sweden shirt from the centenary match with England in 2004 but only because it was a limited edition collector's item that will never go out of date by virtue of its historical appeal. They only wore it once as well.

I can't remember that shirt, have you got a pic? Shirt quality has improved greatly since the late 1980s- early 90s. Recently, however, shirt design has become dull and samey. Adidas shirts are particularly boring, and nike aren't much better.

The Everton salmon pink shirt sticks in my mind as one of the worst shirts ever.

I wore that St Mirren 'bib' shirt when I was the mascot for them against Rangers in November 1987!

The Buddies legendary centre-back, and "friend of the family" (I think he put my lonely Mother to the sword on more than one occasion) Peter Godfrey sorted me out.

Got my photo taken with Tony Fitzpatrick and Iain Ferguson on the day, and stuck about 7-8 past Campbell Money in the warm-up.

The sad thing is, I think he was actually trying to save them after the first 2 went in...

Yeah they were poor CF. Celtic had a terrible shirt in 1991-92 season. 'Officially' the worst is Coventry City's brown atrocity.
