Hey Dels, did you watch Hewitt-Nalbandian today?

I watched the last set, it was mind blowing tennis. Even though Hewitt looked dead & buried at one point I still knew he would prevail. He just mentally superior to Nalbandian, I've been saying for ages that Nalbandian could be a grand slam winner if he was mentally stronger because he does have the game. I just hope Hewitt now has the strength to play competitively against Roddick (who had an easy match from the looks of it).

See I got my wish Serena's in the final! Big Grin

I've got to go to uni so I won't be able to see Fed/Safin but it should be a cracker.

(Answering to my own post, how sad!)

Anyway, I did manage to catch the last set of the Safin/Federer match and WOW! It was one of the best sets of tennis I think I've ever seen. It was edge of your seat stuff, it wouldn't have disgraced a final. I hope Safin goes on to win it now. This is his third Aussie Open final, I hope threes a charm.

Wow, what a match. Had to go out so missed the end, but taped it and just watched it now! I've always thought Safin was the one to challenge Federer the most, i also hope he wins the final.

I'm hoping Davenport can win the womens Big Grin

That's for answering guys, saves me from having a conversation with myself. Big Grin

I watched the Hewitt/Roddick match, where does Hewitt get the energy? He didn't look like a man that had a few hard matches, Roddick on the other hand did. I just wonder how much Hewitt has left...

It kind of reminds me of last year, when Safin did the same thing and had nothing left in the final. I hope Hewitt has something left for the final, I do think he's a very fit guy, but i'm still hoping Safin wins.

Haha Serena won!!! I was so happy that she did. I had been reading elsewhere that she was washed up that she'd never win another grand slam blah blah blah, but she showed them! Big Grin

FORZA SERENA!!!

I have a feeling Hewitt will beat Safin. Home support, too quick, too fit, with tremendous momentum.

Also, Hewitt is mentally superior to Safin, Safin's head sometimes drifts away during matches.
I hope Safin does win though.

There's picture of Serena on BBC's website with the trophy and she looks so pretty, she's just glowing after that win. I'm so happy for her.

Me too!!

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Hewitt (think I told you before)!

It's just that I think he has everything going for him right now.

Serena did well to shut up her critics, you could see she was playing like she was on a mission to prove her point. Nice outfit, too. Razz

Glaws v Bath at Kingsholm on Sunday 6th March Raj. Will be getting my tickets next Monday.

Looks like Tindall is coming next season - hope this doesn't mean we have to offload players to afford him.

Yeah I heard... Season ticket holders all get one ticket... you lucky so and so... Smile The rest will go on sale in a couple of weeks...?

2 chaps I know are season ticket holders, myself, the chap from the forest of dean and his brother are not, so we'll have to storm the phonelines when they're released...

Yep this Tindall talk is really gathering pace... excellent news... Smile But as you say, at what cost will it be.... still exciting though...

Well done to Britain (Scotland)'s Finlay Mickel on his 11th place in the Downhill at the World Championships in Bormio, Italy.

1.31 seconds behind winner Bode Miller but ahead of all four Italian skiers in the race Big Grin

I enjoyed going to Worcester v Leeds last Friday. A great performance from the Warriors. It is going to be a close run thing come the end of the season.

I'm glad I didn't go to the Hairy Quims / Glaws match last weekend.

It will be close at the end of the season - at least we got enough points at the start of the season to keep us away from the relegation places.

I'd like to see Worcester stay up - if Bristol come up as well that would be 6 derby matches next season.
