Poetic justice I suppose, it's just a shame the villagers are taking the brunt I suppose, shame the big lumps can't be a bit more brainy and find the poachers and squash them while their sleeping. I saw a programme about elephants on the bbc recently, it was brilliant, at one point they had them playing football, some of them looked quite good

In ideal world his brother would read out a statement saying how he and his side of the family condemn unreservedly Joey's actions and stress that he personally has never had much to do with this mindless thug and so should not be associated with him in the public's mind.
Well it's all been said before. I heard Ridsdale on radio 4 yesterday being given an easy ride by John Humphreys and re-writing history. The thing that crippled Leeds for good and all was a series of long-term high interest loans, which they used to buy dud players (Johnson, Fowler mainly) that they didn't need anyway. And even if the "strategy" had been successful, and Leeds had qualified for the CL in 2002 and 2003, they would still have been effed because of the unamanageable debt they had to service.
Ridsdale, as usual, rewrote history and said that if he'd been in charge, they'd still be in the Premiership. The fault for the minor blips under his chairmanship, it seemed, lay with Venables and O'Leary. The one interesting thing he said, amid the self-serving prattle and nonsense, was that, having seen all the evidence for the Bowyer/Woodgate trial, he had a press release prepared for the day of the verdict and "it wasn't the one I read out!".
Well George if you want to combine a few holes of golf with a trip to Walsall v Leeds then let me know! Ridsdale is a prime pillock though. I thought Ken Bates was loaded. So what is he doing at the club?
Police are apparently wanting to interview 5,000 Chelsea fans believed to be in Liverpool last night!!!
Police have arrested a Premiership star following investigations into the break in at Jose Reinas house yesterday. Police are questioning Frank Lampard in connection with the burglary, as no one can account for his whereabouts between 7.30pm and 10.15pm last night.
Forza Juventus.

Well Ken isn't loaded in comparison to the level of debt he's taken on. It's ironic in a sense that it was Bates that bought the club as he followed a similar business strategy as Peter Risible. I.e. Borrow to skies and cross your fingers. Had they not beaten Liverpool on the last day of the season a few years ago, they wouldn't have qualified for the CL, Abramovich probably wouldn't have bought the club and Chelsea would be where Leeds are now. Chelsea were on the point of meltdown when RA bought the club. Bates bought Leeds because he is clueless where numbers and money are concerned and didn't realise the extent of Leeds problems. Obviously he then made things worse by appointing his mate Wise.
Still, it's the highlight of the footballing calendar tonight, so everything in the garden is rosy. A very enjoyable evening's viewing tonight. Well done the Filthies!
