It was a very embarrassing result. I dunno, i remember when we were playing the likes of Argentina and Germany in friendlies and almost playing them off the park. And now we can't even beat Cyprus! Toshack has to go
Good point about the "meaningless" friendlies, Dave. Why can't they use another cliche? Wales losing to Cyprus, it's anything but meaningless as it means Toshack is a poor coach, a sufferer of Souness-syndrome - washes his dirty linen in public.
Sure, but he doesnt have a very poor coaching record. Im not arguing that Toshack is a great international manager [because current evidence suggests otherwise] but i think Bodger is being unfair describing his coaching record as poor.

That cyprus friendly was a joke, it was just a nice jolly for the lads. Toshack must be a good coach given his record, but he's too confrontational. He was just as bad as savage (and that's saying something) in that whole daft slanging match. What's the bets it'll be Bellamy he falls out with next?
