Hello everyone.

I wanted to ask for some definitive advice as I keep getting conflicting advice from the sales assistants at different YSL make up counters.

Initially I was told that Touch Eclat #2 would be best for my dark skin. I was informed, it was not available in the UK.

I checked at a different YSL counter an hour later and was told absolutely that #3 was for me and that it was suitable for Naomi Campbell's skin tone. I bought it!

I happened to be in third department store today (shopping for my wedding!) and was told that #3 is really only suitable for olive/ mediteranean skin tones and not suitable for black skins! This third assistant mentioned a Touch Eclat #4 which again was not available in the UK.

Ive checked everywhere on the web (including the YSL site) and can find neither hide nor hair of a #4.

So people, does it exist? Should I stick with my (unopened and unused as yet) number 3, or should I offload it on one of my red head bridesmaids and go to the Bobbi Brown counter for a concealer for dark skins.

Phew! All advice/ suggestions appreciated!

Errm

Have you tried emailing YSL?

I can't really help as I use Clinique Airbrush Fair Neutral. Smile

I had touche eclat no.3 for my asian skin and abandoned it not long after - too chalky looking in daylight. I suggest don't open it and get your money back and go for concealer at Bobbi Brown instead.Have you tried MAC?

thanks ladies.
I posted on a Make up artisits forum and was told:
YSL Touche Eclat-:
1. Its not for black people.
2. There is no no.4.
3. Its sold as a concealer- its not.
4. Its ultra reflective in photos.

I was reccommended a MAC product- not sure if Im allowed to post URLs here but
MAc product

you are right, it is not for black skin and it is not a concealer. Return it as it was sold to you wrongly.

Have you tried Benefit makeup, two of my mates wear it and swear by it for their skin. Not sure of the colour though. debenhams stock the brand as I think John Lewis do.

Yes i have to concur. Touche Eclat is available in No4 I have in my make up bag, i use it all everyday. My skin colour is about the same maybe a teeny tad lighter than Naomi Campbells. And this colour is suitable for me.

I bought mine from Bangkok airport though. I haven't tried to look for it in the UK yet, but it sounds like i'm going to have fun trying to find it again.
