It's all well and good giving people plastic surgery (of the permanent variety) but temporary things such as Botox, excellent hair stylists and make up artists are used widely on this programme to make the person appear younger.
Unless the person can afford the botox injections evey 3 month as required and can afford to visit a hair salon regularly, they will be back to how they used to look in no time... That could seriously damage an individual so unhappy with their looks that they would go on a drastic makeover show such as '10 years younger'

Couple of good points there Space, I do think that make up artists and a good hairdresser can work wonders, you only have to look at those places that advertise those before and after photo shoot things, to see just what can be done without surgery. But for those that need a little extra help, at least these programmes foot the bill, and to get your eyes lasered and your teeth fixed for free is quite something.

Clearly if they let themselves go that badly to start with they are going to end up back again in a very short time - its so easy to think you're going to keep somehting up while the cameras are there and everyone is ki$$ing your a$$ but they never address the reasons why people get so bad int he first place. Why they are depressed etc...
