How long is long? It's like asking 'how long is a piece of string' because to one woman hair just below the shoulders may be 'long' but to another that could be short, for example...
If it suits you and your hair is really well looked after, then it is fine. I am 50 years old, and take great pride in my long beautifully kept hair. I get loads of compliments, and it looks ultra feminine. Long hair is versatile and can be worn in many different styles. It can be dressed up with flowers, and various other hair accessories/decorations.
Well.. As Long As Its In Great Condition, Not Extremely Long And You Get It Cut Regularly Then Its Fine At Whatever Age!! Ew As Long As Its Not Grey Though..That Just Looks A Bit Stupid =D x x
I like long hair if it is in good condition and not thin hair,I must admit as you get older I think long hair can age a person and when that happens its best to be cut away from the shoulders.
There's no right age for when you should get long hair cut off - it's all a case of what suits you. Long glossy locks are good whatever your age, but if its long and straggly go for the chop.

I think long grey hair looks fantastic.
I do however think posts with a capital letter for every word look pretty dumb.
i thought it was more to do with face shape rather than age. my daughter has quite a thin face and if her hair is too long it seems to draw something away from her beautiful face. suits it short-ish.

Have been trying to post on a coupled of 'controversial subjects' in the News and Culture forums. All posts have been met with 'Internal Server Error' etc.,
What is it with women who think they suddenly have to chop their hair at 40 and get a perm and a blue rinse? I'm 46, I look better than I did at 30, have longish hair which I have no intention of cutting for the foreseeable future.
