Of cause living in Norfolk also doesnt do much for the number of jobs either.
Awww - always nice to meet fellow geekettes
I suppose all I can say is keep searching for another job. I had alot of trouble finding a job after I left uni... the thing I found was that they all wanted experience. Total catch 22!

I am 100% female, 100% geek, and I find the character of Jen abhorrent as a result *sigh* Could the show at least acknowledge that some women do know about computers?!
Anyway PhD in computer science here I come ... If only it were all still in BBC Basic eh squashedbanana?!

I found a way around that by running my own web design/coding business.. Taking part in open source projects and volunteering to do work is also a great way to show you have experience in the right areas. I guess I was lucky too as I took on a whole ton of work as an undergrad, helped me through a couple of years in the real world before I returned to uni
While i was an undergrad i was fixing everyones computers and working for a couple of the departments at the university. The problem is most places either want an MCSA/MCSE and or experience in the latest version on windows server. I only got to look for someone in active directory so am kind of stuck prooving anything there. Its the same with my web development at the moment. I've done a fair bit although my dynamic coding is a bit week, but everyone wants 2 years comercial experience, how are you supposed to get experience if they wont employ you in the first place. Guh
Right must stop going on about how bad my working life is or it will rule my free time. But if anyone knows of jobs comming up in Norwich I'd be glad of the pointers hehehe

I'm completely clueless when it comes to techy stuff, but I like geeks! My best friend is one. He likes being friends with me because he can talk about science stuff and feel clever.
Feel free to do that with me, if you like. I'm not just dense at science, I am also dense at computing and maths!
