I wonder when and where the idea for the IT crowd came from?. About 3 1/2 years ago I entered a BBC comedy script competition and submitted a script called 'The Techies' which was in retrospect a bit too anarchic for the BBC. The only feedback I got was that there were a number of submissions with the same theme - i.e a comedy based on IT. That is the only similarity between my script and 'The IT crowd' but it did strike me a fishy where the idea for the comedy came from. Did i read somewhere that someone involved used to be at the BBC? Anyway not moaning I still get a kick out of reading my script and the fact that there is at last a comedy out there celebrating IT for what it is. I never did follow what comedy came out of that BBC competition it may have been the smoking room.
i really want to submit a script, i've got millions of ideas, just not one perfect one. all of my ideas are too sketchy or similar to others or just too stereotypical...
