even though i am an avid fan i just wanted to clarify this right what is the correct way to say the name of the show is it the IT crowd or is it the I.T(information technology)crowd i always thought it was the IT crowd

on the first series dvd they said they went between the two... channel 4 seem to be saying the i.t. crowd... i say 'it' for the pun...

On all the DVD documentaries/commentaries it's called "The it crowd", that's generally the consensus amongst the people who work on the show.

But it goes both ways really. I used to call it "The I.T. Crowd", but now I call it "The It Crowd".
