in my opinion it is a shame what happened to the it crowd in this series.
i loved the first season. i thought it was fabulous!
channel 4 not only had a hit, they've had a cult hit!

i eagerly anticipated the second season. i really REALLY wanted to know what happened to the characters after the party. i didn't expect something overly dramatic, like jen thinking she was pregnant and moss joining in with a sympathy pregnancy (which would have been impossible due to the nature of the aunt irma episode, i know...).
but COMPLETLY IGNORING IT?

plus, the first episode was still hilariuos. but it was not the it crowd any more! the jokes became more generic. the references to geek culture and the satirical nitpicks to corporate britain were gone.

wtf? by trying to open it up to a wider audience, SOMEBODY completly alienated the real fans.

i hope the next episodes will be better. otherwise, i doubt that there will be a third season.

i understand... waiting all this time to see the promise of that 'to be continued...' fulfilled, and nothing... i think the continuation fairy went out and got blitzed really...

have you noticed the non it staff are even less stupid that they were? they actually could disable the firewall. (although that itself was stupid) last season the could barely plug them in...

the show needs a comedy virus/comedy hacking storyline to smarten it up a bit...

Maybe theyre saving the answer to that for later. Maybe itll go back or something. I hope so.

I think everyone's worrying too much. Relax and enjoy the show. It's not the same- so? I enjoy the characters, and frankly, I wouldn't have wanted it to be exactly the same. Then everyone would be complaining that "there's nothing new about it".
