I was just wondering....I don't know if this was posted before in this forum but...how many of you...It Crowd fans, consider yourselves as Denholm said..."Standard nerds"?? And with which character you resemble the most??

I'm a mashup of Jen and Roy

I'd definitely class myself as a nerd. I have a love for Sinclair Spectrum & Commodore Amiga that's almost illegal, countless computing/programming books, spend practically every waking hour with a PC & have a subscription to Linux Format. Smile

I wouldn't say I was 'standard' though. I'm engaged, have my/our own home (no parents house for me), shower at least once a day and I colour co-ordinate my clothes. Big Grin

...oh and should I conquer my confidence I'm gonna be a comedian! Wink

I think I resemble Richmond, not looks-wise though. Not only cos of my cd collection (yes, there is some COF in there), but also feel out of sorts with the mainstream. Smile

hmmm.. standard nerd...

i am nerdy... to a certain extent, i had the internet/a mp3 player long before the mass populace. i've stayed up all night working on html/javascript/css... i still have a working nes, and when i had an amstrad i used to entertain myself with basic.

i staffed irc using manual commands (trillian had no buttons for a while), i play neopets and dofus.. i read hitch hiker's guide, discworld and harry potter.

i'm the 'go to girl' for the non-geek computer users...

i do still live with my parents at 26, but that's caused by my almost morbid shyness (i am getting much better), but i still go down the pub on a friday night (it's comfortable there)...

even after all that... i would say i'm not clever enough to be a true nerd. Frown

I'm a standard nerd.
I have three computers balanced on one desk and computers taking up 80% of the floorspace in my room. It looks like their office but smaller and with a bed and a fish tank with a fish in it.
The only computer with a microsoft OS installed is a mid nineties laptop with WinDOS 3.1. The rest are all Unix and RISC and a Mac.
Does being a Kraftwerk fan count towards being nerdy?
I also own one of those early 90's CD drives where you put the CD in a caddy and load it like a VCR. That has to count.
Me and my friends also go to a pub sometimes in a big group of nerds. Then we talk loudly about the latest kernel version or bluray drive or whatever and everyone else starts moving away.
Then someone starts LARPing and the pub empties.

hi i'm kind of nerdy, i have nerd glasses and I snort sometimes. I also think Steve Urkel is very entertaining and I was on the nerds' side in Revenge of the Nerds. But I'm not exactly a nerd.
