I still can't get episode 6 to play. Every bloody time I click on it windows media player has an error message. I've tried bitorrent but it's exactly the same. Please for the love of god help me.
Apple Blossom, Have you tried turning your computer off and on again? Only Kidding Reading your previous posts it sounds like you are having trouble with Windows Media Player obtaining the correct DRM licences to play the file.
Assuming you are accessing it from within the UK on a normal internet connection, have you installed any firewalls such as ZoneAlarm? If so, this could be preventing Media Player from connecting to the net and downloading the licences?
The only solution is to write a cross-platform DRM and then sell it to Channel 4. They won't budge from removing the Windows DRM crud from the online episodes.
Best option - watch the show on TV - no DRM, you could effectively copy the show on DVD, encode it to the file format of your choice, and distribute the thing like crazy. In the end all this copyright protection/region business is completely pointless.
Well, I've never been a programmer (well, I did before I got impatient) - don't have the patience or inclination for it. But I bet you could tell that straight off
