Okay, bare with me here. There is a bit of a debate on the net of whether the shoe shop girl in Episode 2 was the ex-Grange Hill actress Alison Bettles. Some websites list it as her in their credits, but the main show said it was someone called Katie Males. Normally the official credits would be enough as proof, but given various sites list it as Alison, and the fact it looks like Alison Bettles, just made me wonder.

Does anyone know the true identity of the shoe shop girl ? It will clear up a lot of arguments/debates if you do

Ahhh, I thought it was her when I saw her - remember her in GH. It did look very much like her, I must say.

I never used to watch Grange Hill, but purely to satisfy curiosity, IMDB has Alison Bettles as having been born in 1969, which would make her 37 now, so I'd suggest it is the person quoted in the credits.
