Earl wanted to make up for spoiling Randys chance at making a touchdown and arranges for him to go back to school and have a second chance. His wife has his car towed and they want $3000 to release from the pound. Randy happens to mention in front of his ex that all of Earls money is in car so race is on to raise $3000 (both their names are on owners documents for car). ex collects cans to return for cash and realises they need something heavier as paid by weight. Steals the crash barriers and takes them to sell. Randy fumbles touchdown and runs off to pawn shop where he has placed a bet that his team will lose and wins $3000. He gets car and returns to Earl. Mainly the funny things about the episode were small things which occur as they are going through this process. You had to be there It should be repeated a couple of times this week on E4.
