Yeah, tomorrow night's double bill should be a fitting farewell to one of the best police drama shows ever made.

very sad to see this show finish. Tonight just left you wanting to see how Sipowicz was going to do as "The Boss" and how the 2 new guys were going to fair. It would be great if Cannel 4 would show the ABC special "NYPD BLUE: A FINAL TRIBUTE". also some repeats wouldn't go amiss, especialy as the DVD's are taking an age to come out, The same gose for Hill Street Blues

You got the sense that watching Andy continue in his new role would have been just as good as this episode hinted at.

But bringing the show to an end that left you wanting more was a good way to do it. All too often you have shows that outstay their welocme, NYPD Blue was not one of them.

Sorry to see this one end, it's been of exceptional quality for all the years it's been on, and should act as a benchmark for any show that wants to follow it.

I'll be delving back into the DVDs now to remind myself how it all started.

NYPD Blue was one of my all-time faves. It got better and better. Watched the last episodes at the weekend. It was a bit like The West Wing - you wanted to watch the end, but never wanted the end to come. Thanks to More4 for showing the last 4 series after the contempt C4 showed it over the years.

Aren't More 4 and C4 the same people??

Its about time they showed it, 2 years after it finished in the US, we finally get to see it.

I agree Ethan lad. Season 8 ended on C4 in June 04. The storylines in season 8 related to 2001.
By the time More4 went mental and showed 4 new episodes a week last year, NYPD Blue had finished in the US. Seasons 9, 10 and 11 were covered in the 4 hits a week splurge. More4 then showed the last season in the normal one a week manner to its conclusion last Tuesday.
My point was, it was never going to get on the air on C4. At least we got to see it on More4. I cannot begin to understand that logic. C4 still remains the channel that shows alot of programmes I like, yet continues to employ Davina Macall.

Can somebody explain why MORE4 skipped season 11?
The storyline didn't follow and a little research shows this is the reason; they jumped from the final of season 10 to season 12.
Given Four's shoddy treatment of this sublime drama, perhaps we can expect season 11 to follow season 12...

According to the NYPD Blue episode guide http://epguides.com/NYPDBlue/ More4 jumped from episode 219 (22 Skidoo) to episode 242 (Dress for Success), missing the 22 episodes of season 11 entirely. Connie is now a stay at home mother as she and Sipowicz have had a baby of their own.
I have emailed More4 to ask why season 11 was not broadcast, but not surprisingly, I have received no response. I urge everyone who would rather have this superb drama treated with the respect it deserves to email More4.

I know it's pathetic but the only reason I watched this show now and then was because I had a huge thing for Mark-Paul Gosselaar in his Zack Morris years!!! Yeah like I said, pathetic. But really loved him in this, and his hair really made him mature

Does anyone here know why More4 skipped series 11 of NYPD Blue?

Nobody from More4 will respond to my emails and the More4 discussion board is a ghost town...

Firstly, I'm grateful for any NYPD Blue on our screens, but C4 have now jumped back from season 12 to season 10 episode 1. Still no sign of season 11 though.

Why don't they just show it all again from the start instead of keep repeating seasons 10-12?
Strange.
