well, i dont want to say too much because you may not have seen the e4 episode, but my guess is that she is the result of an illicit affair many years ago but not john whites. she could possibly be his sister or sister in law (maybe the daughter of beths dead father.

on the e4 episode this week, next weeks channel4 episode, there was a song playing in the club when lauren was dancing and russ dragged her out...what was that song?! it sounds like "the knife" but ive never heard it before. i remember the lyrics "100 per cent."

they usually do release a soundtrack, i think they probably add great songs for the purpose of making a soundtrack!!!

anyone got the first episode on dvd ? missed and recorded 2 & 3

i recorded the first thre parts on my harddrive thing on my TV but i dunno how to put them on dvd sorry


my parents have it on dvd too! i borrowed their copies but they must have done something wrong cos its only got the first half hour and episode one wont play at all! this is the main reason im hoping they release it on dvd properly

its nearly half way through the series, if they are releasing it in two halfs, its about now it comes out. if they are releasing it on one package. probably gonna be summer when it comes out . shame . id like it on dvd for xmas:P

Hi - I've posted this on the main board as well but I'm not sure it'll get seen, so here it is again (it really is bugging me!) -

On tonight's E4 show, when Donna is in the pool with Justin White, right near the end he swims up to her on the side of the pool and she says something like "you'll have to go home though" and he says "what" then she says something...

Can anyone work out what she says? I cannot understand her accent at all, and I've rewound it four times, its really annoying because I can't work out what is going on there and its really bugging me!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yeah anna bo and fay i think they are called according to imdb. they are my favourite characters , so funny! and they help us to understand the others too cos of the way they gossip, it intruduces everything to us

are they pulling it? i hope they don't pull goldplated! it seems like its only just getting going... i think the main characters storylines are about to begin as we haven't seen them for a while! whats happening with john and naomi? this must be a big story and i want to see it! also i think the producers and writers need to take notice that selling a show on a young actress no one knows (jaime winstone) however good she may be is not the way to do it... why not use the more experienced actors for publicity? then they may get a better audience!

and i also read that they are rushing its broadcast to get it out of the way, putting the last few episodes on one night at once. its being advertised as a feature length finale to the series . but i recon its just to remove it to get rid of the "dead weight".
i am so sad about this, i really enjoy this series.

i hope the new time slot affects the ratings enough for them to reconcider

has nobody noticed most of this show is filmed in knutsford? i saw them filming it down kings street whilst i was on my lunch break and john whites house is on mere in knutsford

I'm really enjoying this series, I really hope there is more. It has a lot of potential.
As for what Donna said to Justin - she said he had to go like the others cos the old guy she is living with said so (she did say his name but I didn't catch it) He looked so shocked because she is obviously the old guys 'property'
Think there will definitely be a soundtrack released though i have to say that there will only ever be one version of Personal Jesus for me and that is Depeche Mode original.
I think Naomi was injured in a fire set by John White, he prpbably wanted site cleared for building project, he didn't know people would get killed and his guilt is the reason for taking care of her, also she obviously knows something incriminating that she can't remember.
This series needs more promotion, I think it could become really popular.

i really dont know the songs that are played, i know over at Wikipedia they have started listing the music used in goldplated. keep checking that to see if the song you are referring to is entered.

I really hope there is a DVD, and before Christmas would be good! I reckon they'll rush it out so that the series is still remembered by the few people who watched it. I hope so anyway.

It's such a shame this hasn't done well in the ratings, I'm really enjoying it. Oh well, maybe a re-run of No Angels at a more reasonable time might soften the blow...? Hint hint, C4!
