I'm really enjoying it so far, and I can't wait to see what twists we are undoubtably in store for. David Morrissey was excellent, imo (although I keep getting reminded of him in Blackpool, hahaha), and I can't wait to see what they do with the character of Mark. Really interesting start. Definitely gripping, and creepy enough that you start questioning everyone - at least I did! As each new character came along I was already thinking the worst of them!

At last, something made in the UK with the quality of the many American dramas , I believe they had an American producer for the first few episodes,so that explains it. It would be great if it turned into the new "Lost", "Twin Peaks" etc. However, did anyone note the links with "The Prisoner" - going back a bit of course !! Seems this could be another drama with it's origins in the 60's! But love the start of it, hope it doesn't lose the quality !

I totally forgot about the tooth at the beginning of episode 1 as so much other stuff happened. I take it the copper is very dodgy then.
What's all this about a blue wall? I'll have to wait til next weeks Ch4 ep cos I didn't stay up to watch the E4 ep.
(At least someone agrees with me about the weirdness that is Jack's accent ha ha.)

Hmmm, having watched Ep.1 plus, reading the comments here, I must be on a different wavelength. I thought it was completely unbelievable and a waste of time/space. Apart from the mother and daughter (also the fatty in a funny sort of way) being eye-candy, The sub plots were just weird (daughter panting for the odd-job man/doctor's wife giving bj's on demand/why did they dress up the son as a girl?, etc., etc.) Finally, the on-site copper looked like a throwback from 'Life on Mars'. Whilst a witness protection housing estate, weren't there any almost normal people residing there? It seemed to me to be a poor man's 'Stepford Wives meets The Prisoner'!
This is not a dig at ITV/C4 Drama - I loved 'Talk to Me'.

hi guys was the 1st episode that aired on Channel 4 actually episode 1+2? im asking becasue its also on in The U.S. Under the name of Meadowlands (bloody yanks its a british show and they even fget that 1st)
anyway there up to episode 4 over there so i thought as i enjoyed it so much id download episode 3+4 but when i went to watch them the ep which i thought was ep 3. was the E4 Episode (ep 2,) and what i thought would be ep 3 was listed as ep 4
so i went onto the showtime website (showtime is the network showing it over there) and the listing seems to be correct the ep that we got as episode 2 is actually episode 3 so im assuming the feature length episode on Channel 4 was infact a deouble bill
but im just not certain so anyone that can help clear this up i would be grateful
and just a reminder to anyone who wants to download it (isohunt and torrentspy are good sites)make sure you search for Meadowlands and not Cape Wrath

I know that you want to HATE and all, but um...this series is a co-production with Showtime.

The series was filmed at Leybourne Lakes near Cuxton in Kent at the end of last year/begining of this year. I live in Brenda's house the red one in the corner which is in the night shot on C4 website. Very exicting to see it on the tv after watching them film most of the stuff here!! Houses are North American/Canadian in style.......just a mine of information.....

Seem to have hit the nail on the head!!, (I live in one of the houses used!), they told us they wanted an american drama feel in the feel of Lost/24 and yes they did use an american (short californian)for the first 5-6 episodes, filmed at the end of last year. The stuff they filmed early this year was a differnet guy so will be interesting to see any difference???

Evelyn knew about windsong cos when she answered the phone before going to see Danny, it was a message saying "Tell Danny to use Windsong" over and over. I assume it was Samantha.
I missed a bit of it, what did Dr York say when he was about to do Evelyn's internal exam? I saw her jump up, angrily, but didn't hear what he'd said.

OK, so this is my theory so far. All of the people are criminals, not just in protective custody for being witnesses, and a "crime experiment" is being conducted, to see how they behave, monitored externally. Jack said he wanted to go at midnight, and Samantha agreed to get it organised - sort of by organising that he would be murdered that night??? The policeman is very dodgy, but at the end of the 4th pretty violent episode last night, he appeared to have been acting on orders too, and all of a sudden nobody is being charged with murder! Maybe there is something in the water which is making people "suggestible" (like the golf guy and the footy guy !) which makes me wonder why was there a leaky pipe - was someone sabotaging it??. Probably way off the mark, but it is fun trying to work out what IS going on!
