Well, the weather has been pretty awful, so they're probably filming the indoor scenes, waiting for the window (of good weather).

i am pretty sure that when filming series 2 the scenes shot in brighton were done after filming in London. Don't get too disheartened just yet, there is still hope!
I would have thought that they would only need to convert the front for a week or two to get all of the exterior shots so i guess you could easily miss it if you only went to brighton every few weeks
