Sorkin makes an appearance?? That I didn't know. It is hard to believe that this has actually come to an end. I have just been reading the NBC website and their West Wing forum, 9 pages of people from all over the world begging them not to cancel the show. Apparently the forum has been visited more than 135,000 times. Personally I feel that they left too many questions unanswered in the final ep which was slighly disappointing but you will see what I mean when you watch it!!

WOW. Wow. wow. I can't believe it has come to an end, that one of the few truly great, intelligent TV shows of the last decade has finally drawn to a close. No more eagerly anticipating the arrival of each week's downloaded episode. No more forum entries critiquing that week's dialogue or stories. But that doesn't i hope mean the end to discussion of The West Wing. I know it will live on on this site for at least a few more months as the show rumbles to a close in the UK, but even then i hope we loyal fans can continue to gather to reminisce about what was some of the smartest, most thought provoking and more to the point entertaining TV we are likely to see for a long time.

West_winger, Sorkin is the chappy the camera lingers on during the inauguration ceremony (just after Annabeth, I think).
Yeah, the episode certainly wasn't vintage West Wing, but there were a good few nods back to the last seven years. There were, though, a lot of stories left unfinished - which, let's face it, is how it would be in real life.
No Toby, made me sad.

Dafyd - Thanks for that. Just watched it again (I think thats 5 times now!) I suppose if I was to pick out a definitive West Wing moment from the episode I suppose it would be Santos stood behind the Resolute desk in the Oval saying 'Whats Next??' I think that along with Bartlet saying the last word 'Tomorrow' was a fitting end.
