I think that this one was replied to, but I wil add my weight behind Hoynes. He had a certain garvitas.

Waiting a week to see the next episode on TV, or watching the DVD's?

I'll be watching on Friday. I can't wait until Friday now - watched the last episode of season 5 on DVD last night, so I am bang up to date and raring to go. I will probably get the DVD set of season 6 later when it comes down in price.

I am hoping that season 6 picks up where season 5 left off - I must say that after a terrible start, season 5 really picked up, and included some genuinely classic episodes. A good 'cliffhanger' at the end too I thought, which really left things nicely balanced for season 6.

As for Access, having now had the chance to see it, it was bad, but in my opinion, was no worse than The Long Goodbye in season 4 (and may even have been better, as at least there was some interplay between the main characters, which is where the strength of WW truely lies).

I'll reserve judgement on seasons 1 and 6, but season 1 will take some beating.

I should have left the next question shouldn't I?

Best summons from their boss: "Margaret!" or "Donna!"?

Has to be "Donna!". Such feeling in that one. Leo normally has a resigned tone when he calls Margaret, wheras Josh usually sounds angry or frustrated.

Most Freakish moment - Sam reciting the route from Canada to Conneticut, or Margaret knowing that the calorie count in the blueberry muffin was wrong, and asking Toby to send it to the lab for confirmation?

okay, catching up again..

The Jackal

season 1 (haven't seen season 6!)

Hoynes certainly has gravitas. I liked him because he wasn't instantly likeable. if that makes sense. he was always a different character.

dvds vs waiting a week.. that's difficult. most of TWW I've watched in straight runs on dvd, since I got into it by borrowing a friend's dvds at her insistence. but I do quite like the tease of watching a season strung out, an hour a week. it makes it more intriguing, makes me think about it more, rather than just selecting the next episode on the disc. so I'll go with waiting a week.

it's "Donna!" for me too.

and.. Sam's knowledge of roadways between canada and connecticut is pretty freakish. though my favourite one has to be Bartlet spewing figures about the economy and frightening the economists. I just love Leo's "the president is startlingly freakish that way."

how about.. the wolves only roadway or the organisation of cartographers for social equality?

I was never sure whether the president was making those figures up. He said he was, but you just can't be sure with him!

I just loved the cartographers for social equality. When they turned the map upside down, and CJ said "you can't do that". When asked "why not", she replies "because it's freaking me out". I would have to go for that moment.

CJ appearing with Taylor Reid for the first time, or Sam getting trounced by Ainsley on Capital Beat?

I vote for CJ / Donna.

Sorry? That was not one of the options?

Ok, CJ / Josh.

Sam losing it in "somebody's going to emergency, somebody's going to jail", or Leo losing it in "An Khe"?

Leo in "An Khe", I think. it meant more cause Leo's the guy who doens't fall apart.

of disappearing characters, who was better, Mandy or Ainsley?

Ainsley is one of the most annoying characters I can ever remember but even she doesn't come close to Mandy . She makes my flesh creep. I like the republican who chaired the M.S. hearings and scolded Sam and Josh re the drugs in the white house scandal. Why isn't Toby talked about much ? I'm sorry im getting off the point but I've only just seen the forum and have some catching up to do
Talking of losing it should't it be Toby losing it when he's getting C.J. to do a leak inquiry versus anyone else losing it at any other point in the whole 6 series ?

Celestial Navigation was my fave S1 episode. And I love both Donna and Margaret Big Grin

To answr the previous question, I preferred Mandy to Ainsley - she was under-used I thought.

Leo losing it in An Khe is better than Toby losing it with CJ. Also when Leo cries at the end of Let Bartlet Be Bartlet, we usually expect Leo to be so calm, I almost cried too!

Season 2 Donna or season 5 Donna?

Season 2 Donna

In fact, season 2 for pretty much everything when stacked against season 5.

CJ and the egg thing being discussed on the internet, or the Josh fan site (by the way, http://www.lemonlyman.com was (still is?) registered by Warner Brothers)

It only took one post for everyone to be talking about Josh again . I'm not totally shocked but maybe a little dissapointed . Sorkin clearly intended Josh to be the character most people liked the best and It's a pity everyone is so sheep like . Maybe my problem is I can't stop thinking about the time LT Frank SLade pinned old Brad up against the wall ;O)

Ginger - she always looks a little bemused to me.

Here is a tricky one - the long goodbye or access?
