Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson heads up the Priority Murder Squad, a special unit of the LAPD that handles sensitive, high-profile murder cases. Tough-as-nails Brenda is a world-class interrogator and an expert at obtaining confessions. In her first case since arriving in Los Angeles, Brenda investigates a murder at the home of a multi-millionaire computer company executive. Brenda's investigations throw up a love affair gone wrong and details of the victim's mysterious past. Can Brenda prove to her critics that she is the right woman for the job?

sounds interesting, but maybe done too much before?...might give it a go though.

atk,it got rave reviews(in entertaibnent weekly mag etc) for both the show and for its star kyra in the states for it's first season which ran from june to sept and already a 2nd run has been commissioned so i'll deffo give it a go.

Kyra Sedgewick is Mrs Kevin Bacon....

She is indeed and they starred together in a film called " the woodsman" which was out in feb this year and their acting was superb in it.

it was advertised last night, after 10! I saw it!

kinda hopree4 gets it also. tuesdays is a little tight with so many shows(csi/love soup, l&o/medium) clashing.

reminded me of early prime suspect: the boss putting a unpopular choice 2 head the team and the team rebelling until she proved herself.

I thought it got off to a very promising start and Kyra was excellent in lead role- She's deffo an emmy contender for next year in my opinion.

Good stuff, and great to see Anthony Denison back on TV in a regular capacity... even if he is playing on the right side of the law this time :-)

Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) was Brilliant in "The Closer" last night.

I started watching and was into it right away. The powerful (and Sexy) Kyra Sedgwick is just right for her position in the force.

I'm looking forward to future viewings of "The Closer".

But she's got such Control... not scoffing that Dohnut earlier

The Closer, well too early to form an opinion yet but from the outlook it did look good, she was quite good in that role but that nicest really got annoying so quickly but impressed she got the confession out and hopefully next week everyone will accept her as their deputy of priory murder squad.

Deputy Chief Brenda Johnsons' main strength (so I've read) is in extracting confessions from suspects. I look forward to seeing her techniques in future episodes.. I'm sure she wont dissapoint and as long as she keeps the rest of her collegues on their toes she can't go wrong

unfounatly some member on another forum switch off after 5 minutes because they couldn't stand her accent

No...! I think she's got a great accent, its just right for her
