Nicole - that ep where he dumps her is so hysterically funny. basically he broke up with her after another police officer comes upto him and tells him nicole is a 'wild ride, enjoy it'. this in turn makes bosco all possessive and crazy thinking she's slept with every cop in NY. so he goes to her store (yes, she's the one that owned the clothes shop and turned up to his place of work sporting some of her goods!), and asks her how many cops she's slept with (aww, poor baby, he just wants to know he's special Big Grin). she understandably refuses to answer - to which he repsonds 'maybe i should check the toilet stalls back at the House for your number?' and so that's how bosco dumped her!!

the sender of the poison ivy flowers was not ever discovered, but considering the way bos treated her i wouldn't be surprised if it was nicole. although bosco did have about 5 pages worth of possible females that could want to wreak such vengeance so who knows!

win, lose or draw, arsenal are the team of our generation. their football is exquisite to watch.and my family's all Arsenal too fi - maybe we should set up a thierry henry rocks my socks thread!! Big Grin

also a small update on the season 5 repeats. the repeats will probably be scheduled late night/early morning or afternoon as we have had before. so looks like we'll still have to set vcr's and generally put up with inconvenient times, but i know i won't be complaining.

I agree happy rainbow, no more football talk from me here. and i will agree to disagree with nutz on THAT subject as well as his views on cruz. Wink

nicole dumping ep - i checked tvtome.com (which by the way has all the episode summaries, cast guide and more for tw if you're ever bored enough, it's a handy little site). anyway that ep is called 'faith', and if you can check it out, the poison ivy ep is called 'know thyself'. i believe older eps of tw can be difficult (but hopefully not impssible) to find on downloading sites, but good luck and enjoy - those are excellent eps!!

also lovin my alias happy rainbow, twyoda!! maybe i should use my alter ego to fight demonic cops with pouty lips and tear ducts which operate unilaterally....

INTERVIEW WITH COBY BELL - BEWARE SEASON SIX SPOILERS!!!!
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/index.cfm?c_id=100&ObjectID=10009042

The above is a link to a NZ herald interview by rebecca barry with the lovely coby bell. since i had SO much fun reading it i am going to paste the text here (really hope im not contravening any sacred forum rules here, but something must be done to ease the pain of a tw-starved public!!)Enjoy ladies!!

"The real-life drama unfolded on the set of Third Watch the other day. Coby Bell, who plays Officer Ty Davis jnr, was innocently studying his lines when his cast mate and soon-to-be nemesis Skip Sudduth attacked him with a syringe.

"There's rules to it and there's an art to it," Bell explains of their daily off-camera water-fights. "You can't just come up and squirt someone in the face. You have to be hiding and they can't see you when you do it. We're like samurais."

It's a bizarre thought, the grim-faced characters from Third Watchrunning around shooting water at each other with syringes, especially when we're used to seeing them with guns.

For six years, their on-screen characters have been taking out the baddies, upholding the law and keeping citizens safe. But there's a good reason for their attacks with the medical equipment, says Bell.

"You have to cut up between stuff or you'll go crazy because we're dealing with pretty serious content all the time. In between takes it's just nothing but goofin' around goin' on.

"Skip Sudduth [Sully] is one of the funniest guys I've ever met in my life, he's seriously a comedic genius. And Anthony Ruivivar [Carlos] has become one of my best friends. They live up the street so we hang out a lot. We're like little kids. Anthony and I are always finding ways to mess with each other. He'll step on my foot as hard as he can in a take, stupid stuff like that."

But it's anything but child's play when the show launches into its sixth season this week in what is probably the bloodiest, most dramatic episode yet.

Davis finds himself fighting to the death, a scene that took two days to shoot and amounts to all of two minutes on screen. A typical episode will take eight or nine days. It must be hard to keep the emotional intensity up for that long?

"The constant gunfire helps. It's loud and it's crazy. I'd never done something like that so I was a little sore. The guy who I was fighting with was a stuntman. He's a strong, strong dude, I would not want to fight him in real life."

Action aside, the year ahead also promises to be significant for Davis, who discovers the sinister circumstances surrounding his father's death. And for the first time, the storylines of the characters start to intertwine.

"That's what I like about Third Watch," he says. "The opportunity to do a combination of that stuff. We have the action and the heartfelt scenes and a little comedy in there every now and then so it's fun."

Bell, who has been on the show since it began six years ago, says he couldn't have predicted how popular it would become. The programme was created by former Chicago police officer Edward Allen Bernero and writer John Wells. Since it first aired in September 1999, it has been picked up by 20 countries.

In that time, the cast have bonded to the point where they call each other family and Bell has come to know his honourable cop inside-out. Bell says on the surface he is similar to Davis but his friends would say he's more laidback.

Before he got the part he played keyboards and sang in a reggae band. When filming started he had to give it up but his passion for music runs in the blood. His father is Michel Bell, who went from being a member of 70s band the 5th Dimension to acting and singing on Broadway. Growing up with a dad in the limelight meant Bell saw the world of showbiz, warts and all.

"Dad always said, 'Buddy, it's just a job'. I'd go to all these things and see all these celebrity-type people acting crazy and all big-headed. And he'd tell me, 'It's not the way, you should go do your job and come home. You don't need to get involved in all that craziness'."

When he's not filming Third Watch, Bell likes to take his dad's advice by spending downtime with his wife and 18-month old twins whenever he can. Usually that means heading to his other home in Southern
California, where he grew up. "When I first booked this show, I had just started dating my girlfriend, who is now my wife. We only started dating six months before and everything was going well and I get this job. They said,we were either going to shoot in San Francisco, Miami, Seattle or New York. So we didn't know for a week where I was gonna live. Then we found out and boom, I had to move to New York.

"New York and California are extremely different," he says. "I was raised in Southern California in kind of a surf community, really mellow. Moving to New York took me a while to get used to. It's just go, go, go."

But nothing could have prepared anyone for the tragedy that struck one ordinary morning in September, 2001. Bell was in his apartment when the planes crashed into the Twin Towers. His instant thought was Third Watch technical adviser Michael Keene, a detective, would probably be involved in the carnage.

"As my wife and I were being evacuated from our apartment he was there covered in soot and all kinds of whatever, head to toe. It was good to see him. But he'd already lost a partner that day and they didn't know where he was at the time. As it turned out he'd been evacuated. You just can't get your head around that situation. It's too much."

To make matters worse, when he returned to work a few weeks later, the writers announced they wanted to do an episode on the tragedy.

"I said, 'You're crazy. That's way too close to home'. And then I saw the way the script was written and they did a really nice, tasteful job. It didn't show any of the actual stuff happening. It was all just how it affected the lives of the characters. So it was actually kind of therapeutic to do that episode."

And Bell says it doesn't get any easier when someone gets written on or off the show. "It's hard in a lot of ways but we all know that that's just business. You can't predict anything; you can't really get comfortable with anything because you never know."

Ahem........About Cruz. When i first clappaed eyes on her i thought she was the original rabid dog from Hell! I wanted to hit Bosco over the head for liking her at all. Well they say love is blind! But later on she lost her sister in that incident inside that house i felt bad and i started to see some hope that she wasn't as bad as she made out to be! When Bosco's brother was killed( a freaking sick way to die i might say!!!) she tried to make it up with him and i give her that much credit.
BUT i don't think she is the one for him by a long shot. THAT would be me! Big Grin
And i hope the writers have more sense than to make him and Faith a couple cos she is practically his Mum! Almost incest! Eek
Sorry for waffling on but that was more than my two pence worth....Let me know when to shut up! Wink

You're right, he is leaving. Which is really sad. Frown I've been downloading season 6, and it's really good, but he isn't in it that much. The next episode is tonight, which he is going to play a bigger part in, but I've seen the spoilers for later on, and they are not good.

I've been hearing about this medical investigation crossover thing - but when will we get to see it??

redslady: agree with what you said - Cruz being 'the original rabid dog from hell' lol!!! how perceptive - I think 99% of us have spotted this about Cruz Big Grin. But your right she does have her human moments, to the point where I almost don't mind her (was going to say 'like' but thats a tad strong). You can't do all the stuff she does to people and think that it's ok - she's a witch and she knows it (and so do we!).

I'm sure Cruz will be portrayed in a more positive and sympathtic light in season 6 - but I'm still stuck on season 5 memories (have no season 4 memories thanks to c4 Mad) I'm not getting into that downloading lark- sounds a bit complicated although a few more months of TW withdrawal may make me change my tune. Even if I wanted to, I don't think my PC can take it (lets just say that it is a Gateway 'classic').

Faith and Bosco - Never ever - that is so wrong (I think I have made my feelings known on this point)

And actually you mentioned something that I had been wondering about - Bosco's brother's murder. How did that happen??? I thought Mikey was supposed to be in prison - how did Mann get to him and then dump his body on the street to be 'accidentally' found. Maybe I missed something - got up for a refreshing beverage or I blinked for a second - but I never understood how that happened. Maybe someone who was paying more attention can fill in this blank for me. As you can see it has been bothering me for months now Wink

Hey Bosco's Lady thanks for the Coby Bell interview. Fav line when he describes how they conduct their wierd syringe/water fights: "We're like samurais." lol!!! Big Grin. More like idiots! (sorry perhaps I don't truly appreciate the 'art' of the water fight Wink)

And I know this is not strictly the place (don't worry Happy Rainbow it's not football - I took your Midsommer Murders threat very seriously!) but I hope you've all tuned into 24. It is excellent - and you can see Kim Raver getting more hysterical in each ep (maybe that is not such a draw but see I found a way to link it back to TW!) BTW I'm a bit suspicious of the Kim Raver character but I might be a little paranoid, unfairly placing my dislike of TW Kim on her 24 character - yeah it makes no sense.

24 is perfectly acceptable (well to me anyway) as jack bauer comes pretty damn close to bosco in my books, and dare i say it, if you ever needed rescuing from international terrorists jack might have to take precedence!
Kim raver is doing a good job, i like her more than in TW, i think she is as she seems, unlike just about every other character!

im glad my threat about midsummers murders was taken seriously. i didnt want to get out the heavy guns.(LOL!)

nutz - thanks for the explanation bout the forum break-down, it had me stumped - i thought they were waging a new high-tec war against us tw fans!! Big Grin

redslady - that was a great post, the 'rabid dog from hell' reference had me giggling away!!she is just too too vile! really, at a push, the only positive thing (see, nutz, i am trying!!) i can think of to say about her is when she was with him we got to see bosco as god intended. agreed with your view on faith/bosco too, but what do you think of monroe/bos? there's a lot of support for their pairing on this thread (fi being the appointed ringleader!! Wink) but im not convinced.

Medical Investigation crossover - yes i heard about this too. i know MI is being shown on the sci-fi channel, and i will try and post a notice on here well in advance to let you know when the crossover ep will be aired. i think it's around ep 17 of the series, and they only just started showing them so i think we have a lot of time to wait.

Bosco's brother - the world of tw does have it's far-fetched moments, and mikey's death was up there! my understanding of his murder by that KISS guy was he had been let out by police bcos he had become their informant and so had been given a suspended sentence or something? he was then killed because gene simmons' son was killed in that car chase bosco was in with cruz and he wanted revenge for his death? i think that's right. my attention tends to focus less on the details of plots for some reason sometimes...

coby bell interview - glad you enjoyed it fi. i thought those water fights sounded like fun!! now be honest, dont you find the idea of chasing bosco and ty around trying to get them all wet even a little appealing?!! Big Grin

24 - yes ive been meaning to post on the 24 thread as i have been watching it. i have to say i was a little bewildered by the first two eps but last week where he saved that geeky guy just before they're about to kill him? WOW. im definitely getting into it, so thanks for the recommendation, it's good sunday night viewing. Smile and i think kim's a great actress, although she's been dreadully underused so far. all she does is sweat and cry, i have to keep shouting, 'give her something else to do' at the screen!!

Oh so Mikey was out on a suspended sentence - right that was not properly explained. It was like one minute he was in prison (he was still at the scene of that cops murder - so thought he was being charged with that) - next he was dead - skinned alive or something in the bins. I understood why Mann wanted to do it - just not how he managed to do it - assuming that Mikey was supposed to be in prison. There was a bit of an explanation gap there - or don't know if that was one of the eps c4 decided to show in the middle of the day so it got severely edited? anyway I guess that would make some sense.

Don't get me wrong - water fights are fun (esp any with Bos and Ty, I'm sure!)- its just the samurais analysis and syringe use as a water gun that had me in fits. But maybe I should take more note in the arts of the water fight - I always seem to come off worse in any type of water battle - last year on holiday, my boyfriend got me so bad, it was just pathetic. And should I be so lucky to get squirted with a mere syringe or normal water gun - when it comes to such things my b/f drops the whole bomb. He uses buckets as well as normal water pistols. When I try to retaliate I barely wet him - do you know how disappointing it is to fill a bucket, carry it around (its heavy) find your prey, wait for the moment to pounce and them with all your might chuck it with full force at your target- only for your target to have unnatural sixth sense abilities and move out of the way all the time - very Cruz like, causes the havoc but manages to step away unscathed. And then I only dug myself into a deep hole coz he's going to retaliate ten times harder and as I don't have the skills of a 'samurai' you know I'm going to get it. Yeah maybe I'd enjoy the water fights a little more if I gained the movement of the samurais Big Grin

Give Kim Raver a couple more hours on 24 - unless they kill her off quickly I'm sure she will get to do something - and as I said I'm already suspicious of her character - with no good reason at this point I might add - I'm just trying to predict that she might do something more than sweat and cry! Big Grin
