hmmm, other eps. i liked the epi called 'firestarter', where he's shopping with his mum (awww, so cute) and some sicko sets it on fire, and the mum who he goes back in to save dies cos she goes back into the store for her purse.... oh, he also gets his top off in that one cos he's all burnt and in need of TLC, but ya know, that's not why i like it...it was the 'story'...

I have to admit I'm fairly new to the Bosco fanclub. My head was turned by Bobby and I was also distracted by Jimmy - I mean who wouldn't be! I think if you asked me a couple of years ago who I would pick between Jimmy and Bosco - Jimmy would have won it - I sound like I'm making Kim choices - who by the way is the lucky lady that got all 3 of my main men in TW giving her some attention throughout the show - v. jealous!!!!

We all know that Bobby was in love with her (or is that just my interpretation) - but she couldn't get over Jimmy. I personally would have given Bobby a chance, come on, with Jimmy it was been there, done that, got the ring, had the kid - and he's still a jerk (cheated on her with her own sister!) -although the Jimmy character was slighlty reformed for his departure in series 5, makes me love him again ). Do you remember when Kim was with Bosco in the car, things got a little close - but I think she stopped it (more fool her) - realised that getting involved with Bosco might not be such a good idea.

But watching series 5 made me see how much Bosco is...and I said it before but I can't think of a better description - THE HOT STUFF. Ask me what his most attractive quality is - he is just so darn hot! Most guys haven't got it - even if they are pleasing to the eye - but some guys do and Bosco is one of them. I can see why some of your friends may not dig him - if they are seeing him from a picture (although Bosco is a good looking guy in his own right - maybe not the model looks of Jimmy - but still v.attractive) they are not getting the full splendour of Bosco - the personality that goes with that body is what gives Bosco that something. I love the way he is with Cruz - she tries to flirt or be nice with him and he doesn't even bat an eyelid - tells her where to go even. I think that raised Bosco in my eyes, a lot of guys would probably still hook up with her even if they absolutely hated her guts (some guys have no shame!) - I was impressed because Bosco is always on heat - but it showed me that he has standards - makes him even more sexy!

Bosco and Jimmy now?? - Bosco gets the vote- hands down!

Mmmmmmmmm, I can imagine waking up next to him and I can think of better things to do with him than just taking a shower.......although that could be interesting

yeah i didn't realise this till you said it, but kim has had three of them - she is one lucky lady!!

glad you converted to our boy fi141, and welcome to the thread!! i also admit in the first few series, i think the show was more evenly balanced, and i would have found it difficult to pick btwn ty, jimmy, bobby and bosco because they all lit up the screen. but now with more focus on the pd, i think bos has really had time to shine, and he deserves it!!

and ur description of bosco being 'on heat', well no complaints from me or im sure anyone else on this thread!!

ps i agree this thread is getting steamy...they may need to add some kind of health warning to any unsuspecting males that happen to stumble across it!!

Oh yes Boscos lady - I forgot about Ty - I liked him in season 1 - think he was actually my favourite - yes even ahead of Jimmy ) but his appeal has seriously deflated in recent seasons - or maybe it was my sister commenting on how he had a fairly large square head, although she did concede that it was in proportion to his tall, manly frame and I pointed out that he simply had a masculine shaped head that happened to have a very attractive face -don't worry ladies, I told her how it is! I think Ty may get pushed on the story lines for season 6 though - he was seriously underused in 5 - apart from that Monroe thing developing at the end.

I have noticed that the balance of 'power' - or should I say story line has tipped towards the PD - much of the really strong storylines in S5 involved police characters - Bosco, Yokas, Cruz come to mind. Also they got rid of some of the central characters from the other depts - Doc from paramedics and of course the hunky Jimmy - they need to get some serious replacements or Bosco (and Ty) will be the only ones providing the eye candy! And btw don't know about you ladies but I wasn't taken with JD Hart - the replacement fireman that resigned within 2 episodes. But is it the last we have seen of him I wonder???? - they built him up, having that big history with Cruz and showing he is the new ladies man, getting dropped off by his girl in her banana coloured car - sorry but that is never cool, no matter the make of the car . He is no Bosco - and a poor replacement for Jimmy - ok maybe I'm being too harsh, just because he doesn't do it for me doesn't mean he can't win over some other female fans - although I doubt it (no competition when we're used to the likes of Jimmy and Bosco - their the steak dinner, JD Hart is the Happu meal

Btw agreed Bosco being on heat is never a problem I just find Bosco all that more attractive that he is so highly sexed but has the will power to knock back a sure thing (I'm sure Cruz would if he was up for it). As I said before some guys can't successfully process the 'correct' decisions when faced with the fact they might actually be making out with the vilest witch on the planet (you can decide whether to put Cruz into that category or not!) but if she looks hot its ok!

I've always had my eye on ty....er, excuse the bad rhyming, it's still early for a sunday morning!!

the storyline he had with that woman who was attacked in the blackout around the beginning of season 4, and was a mistress to the councilman was where i really began to appreciate him though. before he was sorta the new kid at school that you like, but dont really need to know too well? but that storyline was great for his character. that part when she's all alone in the hospital, while her boyfriend has all the top doctors running around after him, and she asks ty why he's still in her room when his shift has finished, and he just says something like 'someone should be with you', i melted.
i guess the only thing that keeps him from being my favourite is that he is too passive and i guess, sensible, i like man with a little volatility and fire, and bos has that in bucketloads!!

as for bosco being highly sexed, faith summed it up best when she said hed 'had more ass than a public toilet seat!!' his confidence and swagger with women as well as the job is a total turn-on, and to know he wouldnt sink to the depths of being with women such as cruz again makes him somehow honourable too.

And thanks for the recap on Ty - although this reminicing is painful for me - reminds me how I missed season 4 unfortunately don't recognise any of what you are saying about Ty, but I would like to see it (channel 4 are you listening - reruns please!!!). Sounds like thats what Ty would do - he is a protector, which is nice in its own way, but doesn't have the power of the 'Bosco magnet' - He should carry a health warning, "this man man may have an effect over you that is overpowering (symptoms as already discussed by others in this thread) All ladies beware!

i feel your pain f141, im still mad about the eps they missed out from seasons 2 and 3, i hope channel 4 find time to repeat those at some point, though i am not an optimist when it comes to channel 4's inane scheduling decisions.

i also forgot to say earlier that i agreed with your assessment of jd hart. didnt find him the least bit attractive, all the more so since he arrived with a bimbo attached to his lips - the jimmy replacement was too try-hard for me. although i have to admit the cruz dimension did make me think twice about his introduction, particularly since i think more scenes such as the one with the police facing upto the fire would have made for an interesting visual!!

also, i would suggest that any health label warning of bosco's effect on women should also advise that an effective way to ease the symptoms (no cure has yet been found) is to view a clip of officer boscorelli showering...in all his glory....gun-belt and all...

just read about this on another thread, and thought it might be useful to post the info about the campaign to 'encourage' channel 4 to buy the season 6 rights to tw here also.

as of now, channel 4, as far as we are aware, have no plans to buy the season, so anyone that can please write LETTERS to this lady:

that's a great idea about waiting till after xmas cathy. i sent my letter off a few weeks ago, but have not heard anything since, so i am now wondering whether the royal mail has had it's evil way with it.

also i was watching law and order the other night, and i was really tired so not really concentrating, but i heard this really familiar voice, and when i looked up - it was faith!! it was so odd seeing here there, but it seems to happen to me a lot, once i was randomly watching sex and the city, and it happened to be the ep she was on too - i think the universe is playing tortuous games with me as i felt a pang when i saw her...i miss tw so much!!

I miss TW so much too, bosco's lady, and its only been a week since it finished. I keep going thru my vids and just watching the Bosco bits, and drooling I don't really watch any other American shows apart from Stargate, but I've gone off that since I found TW, am now having serious withdrawal symptoms. We must have hope and faith (pardon the pun) that C4 will come good and show season 6, maybe after it ends in the US.

im desperately trying not to watch my videos at the moment for fear that i will wear them out...well certain parts anyway!!

i was thinking the other day actually what parts out of all the eps i have had to rewind the most...turned out to be mostly bosco parts of course (apart from ty's handball scene)

but strangely i think the one i was struck by the most was the first time he sets eyes on cruz - the way he can't take his eyes off her, and the fact you can tell he's completely paralysed from the waist down had me strangely transfixed!! i cant even explain why it's that part that i think i've rewound the most, maybe partly its becos as we said b4, bosco on heat is irresistible!!

One thing I have found annoying about TW is that they don't put the title of the prog on the episode, and I have my vids but don't know what episode is on what tape! I shall have to go on tv tome and check out all the eps and then I can label my vids.

I don't know about any particular fave bit with Bosco in but I did like the xmas ep when he got 'Oliver the Onion' for Monroe and she was screaming and dancing cos she was so pleased! Also when they got replacement presents for the guy who'd had his stolen on xmas eve, when Bosco rang the bell and ran, great stuff

Oh goodness that has to be one of my favourite episodes!!and the bosco moments were really adorable. When they go into the toy store so Monroe can badger the owner into giving her an oliver the onion, and it cuts to bosco, and he’s checking himself out in a cowboy hat!!he’s SUCH a cutie pie!! And sully and ty were very cute goofing around in their outfits. I wanted to give them both cuddles – and then ride off into the sunset with ty the reindeer and bosco the cowboy!

That Oliver the Onion xmas episode is the one that made me think that Monroe was next on Bosco's list (not a bad list to be on - where can I sign up )

Too many 'hot' Bosco moments to pinpoint - unfortunately I didn't see any of the Bosco/Cruz thing - was that part of my 'bogey series', season 4?? (looks like missing that series will be the bane of my life - channel 4 save a distressed person, Third Watch reruns please!!!)

Re: Bosco/Cruz: only caught the aftermath - thought wow he really hates her guts -they must have been lovers b4 and I'll admit I also cottoned on with the references to the past. Funnily enough I would prob agree with you Bosco's Lady - the Bosco transfixed on Cruz sounds like vital viewing for any Bosco fans - not sure why - we should really hate it, but I guess its that whole 'transference'(where did I get this term from???) of ones desires through someone else (sorry haven't got the Psyc degree but I think this is what I mean). Not that I'm saying we want to be Cruz!!! -well for the moments she was on 'friendly' terms with Bosco I wouldn't have minded stepping in her shoes

However unlike you clever third watchers, although I taped a lot of the episodes from S5 due to the dodgy scheduling - I re-recorded over them, with newer third watch episodes or other 'missed tv' that I now realise is of no importance to me in comparison to Third Watch. Why oh why did I not have the foresight to get myself down to the pound shop and buy a few tapes that could have ben reserved for Third Watch memories only I feel like an idiot - don't worry I have managed to go to the shop to buy the big stick that I have to hit myself with. I now have approximately 23 minutes of a random episode with few Bosco moments - to disgust myself further I think it is one of the JD Hart episodes.

So I am the girl who had Bosco and threw him away to be replaced by JD Hart Where is that stick...

Oh my... TW has been off my screen for a week... and I'm already having withdrawal symptoms... I've had to resort to watching my taped episodes... I only have from Collateral Damage... but still (Thinking about it... that's where Cruz and Bosco hook up...)

f141, i remember doing the same thing when i began watching third watch - recording over taped third watch episodes - that is, until the crazy fog lifted and i began archiving my collection obssessively!! so if you cant find that stick, feel free to borrow mine!!

re that bosco cruz scene, yes f141 i think there is an element of 'wishful thinking', as in when i was watching it i was thinking 'i wish i could be the one standing there while he casts his oh so beautiful eyes over me'. hey, whoever would have thought we would admit to wanting to be in cruz's shoes?!
