im glad you cleared that up - i was wondering if it was a homage to the really dodgy drew barrymore film of the same name.

I bet if I tried hard I could find my old carebear and My Little Pony - minus the tail, don't ask! And yep loved Inspector Gadget - my Aunt has mobility problems and she got one of those stick things that help you pick up stuff without bending -whenever we see her using it we always say 'go go gadget arms' lol! its ok she has a sense of humour. And 'orginal x-men' that we used to watch is so much better than the one they have now, 'x-men evolution' , messed up the cartoon! COPS was excellent though - I think it was a children's cartoon that dealt with adult issues - maybe they realised it wasn't too subtle (seriously Bosco could have been a character in COPS!) and gave it the boot - but not many people remember it - I'd love to watch it again.... But not as much as season 6 of Third Watch (do you think c4 are listening )
LOL! your Aunt has a great sense of humour - that was so funny. and i totally forgot that it was INSPECTOR gadget not mr gadget! i knew something about that didnt sound right when i wrote it. oh yes i remember watching xmen:evolution; it was awful. when will they learn you cant imrove a classic? *sigh* reminiscing is fun...

*grins* oh i vaguely remember that film - dodgy's the right word! it's also not a reference to the character from that horrendous batman film where uma thurman played poison ivy! no im staying true to my all-consuming obsession, happy.

By the way - did anyone get to see the TW crossover with MI?
I keep on missing it, but MI is not too bad - I know I slated it but I've seen a few eps and its quite good - not unmissable (which is why I forget its on) but ok.

*shudder* yes, i get that feeling when i see my cousins too - a lot of them have never even seen bambi?! can you imagine!! they just gave me a blank look (or maybe it was pity) and went back to watching shrek.... MI - i didnt realise the repeats were on actually. ive downloaded the episode though, so will give it a watch. if the crossover is good, i'll probably try and watch a few episodes. i also though that was the problem with the show - it just didnt grab my attention - unlike lost, which had me hooked immediately.

the MI crossover is needed to complete the story, its very much a two parter. faith, carlos and the new paramedic girl (cant remember her name!) are in it quite a bit.

since i have had such lousy luck with catching it on the sci-fi channel, i downloaded the MI crossover - glad i did now, since you guys have spoken highly of it - im looking forward to watching it.

Shrek, pfff! But Bambi, what a classic -but a bit sad, ahhh that used to bring a tear to my eye

I'm going to try and remember to watch MI if they start showing repeats - maybe they are at the moment - I'll check it out.
Oh and I'm loving Lost too - its really good, some of my fave shows have finished or are about to finish, 24, Alias, Nip/Tuck, Murder One to name a few so I'm glad something good has come up.
Oh by the way for anyone interested - Channel 4 are going to show the last season of OZ, finally! Not sure if Bobby from TW is in this series or if it was the previous one but OZ is definitely worth viewing (if you are not easily offended - stay away if you are!).

"mother, mother!" i saw a trailer for a film called the cave at the cinema and im sure its got eddie cibrian in it, it looks like alien underground to me! for anyone with living, a new show called Greys anatomy is starting this month, its done really well in USA so might be worth a look, its about a female doc called grey, who turns up at her new job to discover the one night stand she had the night before is, her new boss! doesnt that always happen!

fi - MI is being repeated on sci-fi at the moment. i happened to see it on the tv guide a few days ago. and im going to do my absolute best to tune in. and i am going to record oz too, i remember your high recommendation of that one. while we're on the subject of other tv shows there's also boston legal (which i remember happy recommended), but i havent had a chance to catch it yet; i will definitely get round to it though. and that grey's anatomy sounds worth a look too - cringeworthy situations are always popular viewing in our house! - thanks happy. i love having things to watch now our dismal summer is coming to an end. the cave - you're right happy, mr cibrian is appearing in that movie. not sure if i mentioned this but he also made a sci-fi tv series called 'invasion' which has been picked up by c4. anyone agree that a cinema-screen-sized mr cibrian is a definite bonus - but where is that fireman's uniform when you need it?!

I'm going to try and catch that third watch/MI ep if it currently being repeated - will have to use that reminder thing on sky because I know that I'll just forget. Grey's Anatomy sounds good, think I saw an advert for it, I'm going to try and watch it. I saw an ep of Boston Legal and thought it was ok but unforunately it didn't stick out for me so keep on missing it - but if one of the terrestrial channels gets it, I'll give it a proper ago. 'The Cave', 'Invasion', I'm there. If it's got Eddie in it then it's got to be vital viewing! Yeah I was lovin that fireman's uniform, but 'dimples' can wear a sack (with the arms cut out so you can see those muscles lol!) and he is still appealing. Would take a lot to change my mind on that one (errr..hope he is not sporting any dodgy hairstyles or facial hair in these new films, not too keen on that )

- but where is that fireman's uniform when you need it?!
fear not, the outfit he wore is quite fireman like, tight tshirt, braces. and there is water. and he appeared to have the same hair so we can all breathe easily. greys anatomy is on 29th august.

Hey Taz, I was in Scotland over the weekend, had a seriously early flight on Sunday morning - not the way to go... But anyway, I am soooooo missing TW right now! but have taped most of what c4 showed of season 4 and am rationing it, I think I see like a section a day, I let the ad breaks be my guide. But its really annoying end up having to re-watch parts (yep that was my plan ) Do you remember your 80s/early 90s cartoons too? When you mentioned Trap Door that was a blast from the past! haha! Used to like it too. But Thundercats (Mummmmm-raaaaaa!) has to be classic A1, although there were so many as we've already mentioned. And He-man's cat, I'm not entirely sure, but I feel like I know this, was so long ago, oh what kind of fan am I!!! But what about Dangermouse? Captain Planet (think that was more early 90s but that was a good informative cartoon for the kids!) But back to Mr Wiles - I think there have been a few posts updating what he is doing, my sis said that 'he must be really upset TW has ended' I was like 'no, he's gonna do great things!!!' Although I'll miss Mr Wiles as Bosco - that was his best role and what does my sis know anyway? she prefers 'Bon Jovi' Wiles (she thinks he looks great as the 'artiste', wierdo )

and what does my sis know anyway? she prefers 'Bon Jovi' Wiles (she thinks he looks great as the 'artiste', wierdo )
is she mad??? long hair and men SO not a good look, especially when they have obviously spent as much time in the gym as mr wiles (i like this new found respect we are showing him!) can anyone suggest anyone (male obviously) who looks good/or better with long hair? i have only 4 more eps of season 6 to go - im rationing them!

'mumraaa'!! oh that takes me back - i wish they would repeat them!! no i cant remember the cat's name either taz, i had forgotten he had one actually! good to see you back by the way! i also remember dangermouse and 'captain planet' - that was a great show. again i really feel for the children who've only been exposed to 'power rangers' and the like in their formative years. oh and to keep this fun within topic, i remember reading an interview with mr wiles which asked him what he enjoyed watching on tv (or words to that effect) - he's a spongebob squarepants fan!

oh i look forward to seeing mr cibrian amongst the beasties as a park ranger - i wonder when c4 will air this? although with their track record, anything's possible... thanks for the info on the trailers for 'commander-in-chief' happy. yes thats the one mr wiles is appearing as a recurring guest star, and geena davis is in it too. it sounds like it could be along the same lines as the 'west wing', which will be a departure for him, but as fi said, he should do really well now tw has finished. men that look better with long hair - im ashamed to admit i think tom cruise looks beautiful in 'interview with a vampire', and he sports a rather long tousled style....*looks around for men in white coats to appear*

MUMMRRAA!!!!!I cant believe that,i completely forgot about that!!THUNDERCATS HO!! BERT-FEED ME!!!!!! (trap door) Eh,mr wiles could have a HUGE beard wi six week old food hangin from it and hair down to his arse, but if he still had that bod n those eyes peepin thru,I wouldn't say no!! Dangermouse made me feel sick every time i watched it (somethin to do wi animation,i think!) but I loved it,penfold was my favouritist character! Cool nam | |
