True... but probably not when it's your boss... still it all worked out (well kinda) in the end!

yeah,it is funny how they never REALLY resolved it, and can still go to work with each other knowing not only did they sleep together, but they also ended up almost getting each other shot to pieces, there's never any grey area with bosco is there?! i also get the feeling, as i think f141 mentioned earlier, that if he wanted to, she would hook up with him again?

*grins* ... that's for sure! quote: i also get the feeling, as i think f141 mentioned earlier, that if he wanted to, she would hook up with him again?
You know, I think she actually has more respect for him now after everything that has happened, and really likes him... not sure it will ever get past unresolved sexual tension though, since both of them have gigantic egos, and are hardly likely to admit to each that they really care for each other ... and she really hurt and used Bosco... he's not likely to go there again in a hurry! ... I still think though that Bosco and Monroe would have made a much better couple...

yes agree with everything you said about bosco and cruz - she has had her chance with him, and it doesnt seem at the moment like he would ever give her another chance, not that she even deserves it. re bosco and monroe: they had a good working chemistry and i would have preferred this romantic pairing to him with cruz definitely. i loved the way she could push his buttons and that scene with bosco's mum when she's trying to find out if she can hook her son up with monroe, the look of embarrassment on his face was perfect!!but i guess i didnt see any sexual chemistry there, she sorta actually reminded me of faith in that she came across more as a mother figure type. i also think her and ty are wrong for the same reason eg when ty's about to ask whether the rumours about anthony boscorelli asking for a reward for his son are true, and she elbows him, and tells him its not appropriate? it just reminded me of something my mum would do, and i was sorta put off by it?.....or maybe its the case of the green-eyed monster, seeing her with both my favourite men!!

That was a particularly funny moment! ... but if I think about it it probably had more to do with Bosco's relationship with him mom than with Monroe! quote: i didnt see any sexual chemistry there, she sorta actually reminded me of faith in that she came across more as a mother figure type.
I don't think they gave the Bosco/Monroe thing long enough to see if there really was sexual Chemistry... I've not given up on that one! ... Monroe does a good Mother figure thing... but with her I don't think it's her whole personality, it's just an aspect of it... I get the feeling that she could have very un-motherly feelings for Bosco if the situation was right... and that is something that we know could never happen with Faith! quote: i also think her and ty are wrong for the same reason eg when ty's about to ask whether the rumours about anthony boscorelli asking for a reward for his son are true, and she elbows him, and tells him its not appropriate? it just reminded me of something my mum would do, and i was sorta put off by it?.....or maybe its the case of the green-eyed monster, seeing her with both my favourite men!!
I think that's probably a little of the Green Eyed Monstor... but I know what you mean... I really don't think Ty/Monroe is soemthing that will last... they just don't seem right for one another... it was more situation that threw them into that one than their own feelings... I would like to think that Ty's still a little cut up over Alex... and I know that Monroe was still getting over the whole, Doc/Gun/Accident thing... BTW... any thoughts on Fred's shocker? ... I have to say that Fred telling Faith he'd found someone else was probably one of the most shocking TW moments ever...

yeah, sorry, the way i phrased that was confusing, i didnt mean monroe pushed his buttons when rose was hinting at a hook up, i just loved that bit!! quote: with her I don't think it's her whole personality, it's just an aspect of it... that's a fair point, and also i think the writers only wanted to show the motherly aspect to her nature, in order to fill the void left by faith that series, so maybe that unmotherly nature is yet to be given the opportunity to show itself. her littl-miss-goody-two-shoes act still grates with me sometimes, tho if it did happen btwn them, i wouldnt mind it as much as i did with cruz. she might even stabilise him a little, until he gets her btwn the sheets that is!! quote: BTW... any thoughts on Fred's shocker? ... DEFINITELY shocking, especially since they have been through so much, i was beginning to think they could come through anything together. although i may have had sympathy for fred - he has always supported her, helped her through the back injury, abortion, even breast cancer, and always seemed to make her so happy, but any of that sympathy went through the window when he said he'd met someone else. i couldnt help but immediately want to jump to faith's defence. i mean if he has committed adultery, or started a relationship or whatever, whether he felt neglected by faith or not, in my opinion, he was the one that did not have the courage to be committed to the marriage, not faith. i was heartbroken when she looked up at him in tears, and he just threw his money at her and walked off, i just felt that attitude was so heartless and demeaning of him, and i really hope the tw writers set about giving that poor excuse for a man his comeuppance!! how bout you emma, please dont tell me as well as wanting to give bos away to monroe, you want faith to take fred back!

*grins* ... that's the thing about Bosco/Monroe... she'd stabilize him a little, and he'd corroupt her a little... I think it would do them both a lot of good! ... I simply loved the 'Oliver the Onion' episode! I think you're right though... initially Monroe was filling a Faith/Mother shaped hole... I have faith in the TW writers though, and I know that she isn't nearly that two dimensional... it's just early days! quote: i was heartbroken when she looked up at him in tears, and he just threw his money at her and walked off, i just felt that attitude was so heartless and demeaning of him, and i really hope the tw writers set about giving that poor excuse for a man his comeuppance!!
Oh yes! ... I think the worst thing about it was the way he took the kids and ran away from her... making her thing that it was all her fault... and then dropped the bombshell on her! ... to be fair, it can't be easy being married to Faith... but it definitely wasn't all her fault... they've been having communication problems for a while... and they can't blame it all on Bosco either... he did a good job of staying away when she didn't want him around... quote: how bout you emma, please dont tell me as well as wanting to give bos away to monroe, you want faith to take fred back!
Bos... *griggles* ... since all the Mikey episodes I can't help thinking of him as 'Mo' *shakes head* ... Bos yeah I think Monroe deserves a little of Bos... Fred... at the moment I wouldn't let Faith anywhere near him... it's not that he's cheating on her, it's that he was downright mean about it... he needs to do an awful lot to get back in my good books... unfortanatly though I believe Faith probably still loves him... she really needs some sexy stable cute fireman to hang out with... any thoughts? *winks*

Yes I totally felt the Monroe /Bosco pairing - I mentioned this on another thread but no one responded to this point so I thought I was perhaps reading too much into things . Also your right about it being all wrong with Ty - that can't last - it's got wrong all over it! I think they would have made a nice couple because they are two seperate sides of the coin - but they still manage to get on, in fact from that Oliver the Onion episode (also one of my favourites) I would have put money (well a small amount, maybe a few coppers...) on the two of them hooking up, it could have all been so different if he had perhaps taken up her offer of spending xmas with her family but he politely declined, oh well these are the 'sliding doors' decisions that can effect the course of life - However did not see that Doc swerve ball that came in and pulled Monroe away from the potential of Bosco and into the arms of that crazy lunatic. Now don't get me wrong I love Doc, used to be one of my favourite characters but I knew something was not 'right' with him when he dumped the woman he loved and could have been happy with because she was Doctor and he felt like she was taking the 'superior male role' - he gets awarded his first 'jerk point' right there - then in Season 5 he was acting like a fully fledged jerk when he took on that supervisor role - I did cut him a bit of slack coz he clearly was not in the right state of mind - but Doc versus Bosco - what were the writers thinking??? Well I guess it did work out in terms of storyline and you never know - there may be later opportunities for Monroe/Bosco but some how I doubt it. Maybe they thought Monroe/Bosco was a possibility but then decided that with Bosco's heavy duty plots in season 5 he really doesn't need the extra baggage of dealing with girlfriend issues. Also yes Monroe is that slightly goody goody character (there may be good reason for this...) but she does have a soft spot for Bosco - she bent the rules in helping him out with that bad guy who was from NYPD Blue (sorry forgot the character's name - I know poor for a self-proclaimed third watch fanatic, can only claim that my knowledge is coming from what is fading into a distant memory - unless channel 4 show some reruns - channel 4 save an ailing third watch fanatic - reruns please!!!) ; It's different to Yokas though - with Yokas and Bosco there is nil sexual chemistry - which is why there relationship worked on the level it did - no offense to Faith because this is not a diss in any way but it is difficult for Bosco to be in contact with a female that he doesn't have a spark with because he is so HOT! The Yokas character fills her role well - beause you do get that mother/big sis vibe between the two. With Bosco/Monroe it's more bad boy/good girl chemistry - hey these are the fundementals of some great love stories - it worked in that 'musical classic' Grease Also re: Faith and 'sexy stable cute' fireman - she can have JD Hart

it seems like im outnumbered being against the bosco/monroe pairing then!! i did love their banter, and as i said earlier, the way she knew just what buttons to press with him! and yes f141, her helping bosco with that italian guy, think he was called nardo, did add to their dynamic. when he asked her if they were going to let the whole thing go cos the occb were on it, and she goes 'i hope not'. i thought that was evidence of a really good partnership in the making.....hmmm, maybe you ladies will convert me yet!! re doc/monroe, i was puzzled by that too, but if you think about it, when doc was in his right mind they could have made a really cute pair? i really loved doc, especially his relationship with carlos which had me cracking up most of the time, and i was sad to see him go that way. as for ty/monroe, can anyone please explain why he even likes her!? for a start she's barely given him a second look since she started at the 55... i can see how they are SIMILAR, they are both 'by the book' types, but i dont see how they are romantically COMPATIBLE? and as for bosco having chemistry with any woman who happens to stray within his sights, once again, i agree f141. i love when he gives women the once over, like he did when he saw cruz, or eve (the rapper), or when he flirted with kim that one time and he told her 'you look good to me' or something?he kinda gives off a predatory animalistic vibe, which is always a dead cert to generating heat!! although i definitely dont think the chemistry he has with faith is sexual either. i think they both love and trust each other beyond anyone else, since they've been through more together than most, but it is more mother/son or brother/sister. as for fred and faith, that was a good point about bosco staying away from them, emma. i hadnt actually computed that as i got so involved with the nardo storyline. i dont see why fred is so threatened by bos (or 'mo' for you emma! )though. does anyone remember when faith jailed fred for drink driving and bosco was the one that told faith she was doing the wrong thing by treating him like that, and it was only then she was able to reconcile with him. bosco has always supported them both through their respective troubles - he never told faith that fred was bad for her family when he was an alcoholic, and she should just throw him out with the rubbish. that IS exactly what fred expects faith to do with bosco though, which makes me feel even more that faith should move on as soon as maybe.....faith and sully anyone?!

I think that's the one that did it for me too... they were just too cute all the way through! quote: it could have all been so different if he had perhaps taken up her offer of spending xmas with her family but he politely declined,
I wish he had taken her up on that offer! ... did you see what he did instead? ... bless his little heart, he went to church! ... actually ... have you noticed the writers of TW have had a big thing about church god etc recently! quote: However did not see that Doc swerve ball that came in and pulled Monroe away from the potential of Bosco and into the arms of that crazy lunatic.
Aaah... you have to look at it like this... Monroe had heard all about Doc, and already liked him. She didn't know him however, and didn't know that he was acting strangely... all she had to base her decisions on was what she had heard about his past, and from that I'm not surprised she was flattered when he came after her, and happy to take him back to hers! ... of course Doc was truly insane by this point, and was only after her gun... You know what's strange... the 'department' was really worried about how the paramedics would cope with the loss of Doc, as he was the person they talked to... BUT ... I think that a contributary factor for Doc's breakdown was that Kim and Carlos grew up, and didn't really need him anymore... Kim was the one who got Carlos back into FD:NY ... Carlos went to Alex when she was exploded ... Kim informed Alex's mother... Carlos spoke at Alex's funeral... these are all responsibilities that neither of them would have been able to cope with in the past, that would have fallen to Doc... Unfortanatly the one thing that Doc was called on to do was kill the FD boss... quote: may be later opportunities for Monroe/Bosco but some how I doubt it. Maybe they thought Monroe/Bosco was a possibility but then decided that with Bosco's heavy duty plots in season 5 he really doesn't need the extra baggage of dealing with girlfriend issues.
One of the things I love about Third Watch is that like ER it has realistic slow charachter development... and they don't rush into things just because they could... I'm still thinking that there's plenty of time in the future for Bosco to find the right girl... and I still think that it could be Monroe! quote: Also re: Faith and 'sexy stable cute' fireman - she can have JD Hart

I still think it's a rebound thing from Alex... they had super chemistry! quote: i dont see why fred is so threatened by bos (or 'mo' for you emma! )though.
I think it's more to do with the job than Bosco as such... although now Fred projects all of his feelings about Faith being in the job onto Bosco so he hates Bos (Mo) ... I think in a way Fred knows that if Faith and Bosco didn't have such a super working relationship Faith may well have left the force long ago... quote: does anyone remember when faith jailed fred for drink driving and bosco was the one that told faith she was doing the wrong thing by treating him like that, and it was only then she was able to reconcile with him. bosco has always supported them both through their respective troubles - he never told faith that fred was bad for her family when he was an alcoholic, and she should just throw him out with the rubbish. that IS exactly what fred expects faith to do with bosco though, which makes me feel even more that faith should move on as soon as maybe
It is true... Bosco has always supported the whole family not just Faith... it's only recenlty that Bosco is sooo down on Bosco, and I think that has more to do with Fred than Bosco...
