Hi
New to this forum.

Just wondered what people thought of this? Only crit was that it was a bit too jumpy with the editing, which made it difficult to follow on first viewing. But I was glad I'd videoed it and rewatched as it certainly improves. I can see what the makers were trying to achieve and I just hope it doesn't put people off because it looks very promising.

Hi Alixon,

I thought it was great; I do however wish I had taped it, as the first episode was quite fast paced (literally, what with all the walking/running about Amy et al were getting up to Big Grin). But thats no complaint, as it showed theres alot going on in this series.

I saw the second episode on E4 and thought it was good viewing. I'll certainly be watching again next week. Cool

oh no, I missed it, I saw the advert the other day. Elaine Cassidy is one of my favourite actresses ever. I'll definately be watching it next week, it's on Tuesdays right?

I thought it was great. Sure, the camera work was a tad jumpy at times but that didn't bother me.

I taped it and I was glad I did. I got more out of it the second time around - but that's probably because I was so knackered on Tuesday night!

Yep, it's on Tuesday nights at 10.

Hi,

I watched Ghost Squad on Tues, and then the next one on e4. Thought they were both really good - was a bit confused during the first episode, and really wish I'd taped it! Does anyone know if its repeated at any time? I've had a look but can't seem to see it anywhere!

Elaine Cassidy is brilliant - shes the main reason I watched it!

Zx

Sorry to be a tad off-topic.

Zorro24 - forgive me if I'm wrong, but are you also a member of another place that discusses EC? Your name is really familiar to me...

Apologies in advance if I'm on a different planet today and got my wires crossed! Big Grin

I think the moral of the story is.... tape The Ghost Squad!

As for whether ep.1 will be shown again - I'm sure that C4 will bring the series out on DVD if it's a success. Now, I don't know what first week viewing figures were, but all the people I know who watched it on Tues will be watching again next week.

three r 2 kinds of brit cops: non cops who help the cops out with dazzling 'tech work (homes, marple 2 tony hill and 'cracker') and brit cops who r deeply flawed, only human and always bugger up the crime solving(sweeney 2 the bill after 2000 , waking the dead, and ghost squad).

I knew I would recognise the name when you said you're other user name GB! I'm boring and stick with the same cos then I wont forget it!

Cant believe it was in april that we were all chit chatting about EC! Didnt realise it was that long ago!

what did people think of Tues episode? I just watched the one on c4, thought it was really good, but I think i missed a couple of bits - and that was the second time I'd seen it!

Def a series that you have to tape and rewatch!

I wasn't feeling that great on Tuesday night (mild flu) but I stayed up and watched 'Ghost Squad', thinking I was going to fall asleep after about 20 minutes. The fact that I saw it all was a good sign!

It was good. I'm gonna have to watch it again because I can't really remember what happened to be honest! But I do think Amy needs to end it with that older man - I can only see that ending badly.

But, I'll have to watch again to go into all the ins and outs of the op - cos I can't remember!

Not as visually pacy this week but storywise you certainly have to keep on your toes.

Edgy stuff - I guess this is to bring home what it must be like to be undercover, especially in Amy's case, where in this episode she's undercover twice or whatever the term is/would be for it?

Anyway I think edgy visuals/dialogue/exposition etc... all works rather well in conveying what it must be like for people undercover - great stuff.

Elaine, well no surprises that she is great as Amy (hope casting directors everywhere are taking note)and really liking Pete (Jonas)looking forward to next week.

Hi Green Budgie and Zorro

You won't know me as I only posted a few times on the forums you are talking about, but it's nice to hear some familiar voices on here as well.

I think Elaine Cassidy is fabulous in The Ghost Squad, she was the reason I tuned in originally and I'm so glad I did.

It's a brilliant drama, tense, thrilling and compelling. I wish there were more dramas like this on TV. The storylines are great and the acting is fantastic, I am officially hooked!

I watched next Tuesdays on E4 and its excellent, uncomfortable viewing at times but I was glued! Its good to see a drama tackling things realistically and investigating cops is a new angle on the crime show, there are enough run of the mill crime dramas, The Ghost Squad is refreshingly different!

I agree, it was a bit strange. But the suspicion was there I guess. He wanted to leave, so it was a win-win situation in the end!

The more interesting theme to me is how much has Amy told her lover about her work and is he influencing things: in fact, is she investigating the ghost squad?

Didn't really think much to this weeks Ghost Squad. I had too much sympathy for Ralph at the end, because he was only trying to do the right thing and stop all the trouble. I think Amy felt the same, so I couldn't really get into her investigation.

I was more interested in Pete following Amy. I hope his role increases in the next 5 episodes, because I get a feeling that even he is bored doing it (maybe because he fancies her!)

Saying all this though, next weeks (8/12) looks a cracker.

Yeah i did get a bit confused with last weeks episode, but still thought it was quite good!

I switched over to e4 for next weeks episode, and yeah its another good one.

i am enjoing this series, its kind of wierd how it changes setting every week, but we still have a link through Amy, Pete and their boss (whos name I cant remember right now!)

And I agree - I do think Pete fancies Amy!
