Hi all, does everyone agree that Ghost Squad has been absolutely fantastic. I haven't seen last nights one yet, although i'm shocked that it has ended so soon. Does anyone know if they're going to make another series?

It's been a great series, with twists and turns all the way. I've really enjoyed it but Channel 4 have treated it so poorly it's untrue; only advertising it the week before it started and for the following week (episode 2). After that, nothing.

Plus, I thought someone from the cast may have done a bit of promotion for the series, just to let people know it's out there. I feel that it's basically been left to Elaine Cassidy fans and fans of police shows to watch it and sod the rest of a potential audience.

Oh, and unfortunately, I doubt there will be a second series. I'll just be happy in C4 release this one on DVD.

DO NOT let Elaine and Jonas go!!! MAKE AND ADVERTISE ANOTHER SERIES!!!

After Pete's reaction when Amy got in the lift after the meeting with McKay, I think Amy has left the Ghost Squad. You can't have a new series when your main character is out of the team, can you?

I hope they are filming a new series of ghost squad - even if it didnt do well in the ratings - i thought it was superb

I only watched it on the off chance when the first episode was on - and i never missed a single one.

Annoying really as i don't get into dramas that much, but this one i loved from the start.

The last episode was good, but like most episodes it was quite predictable; well, apart from the end when Amy left the ghost squad. You kinda knew that Gus was a good guy, just doing his best in a rough estate. Even though he didn't seem to mind cheating on his wife - that has nothing to do with how you did your job and after we found out that Pete created the photography of Gus and Geeta, it was certain he was a straight cop.

Oh, and what was with Amy getting her kit off?! Elaine Cassidy must have nude clauses in every contract!

I loved the last episode but I'm gutted the series is over. It was brilliant.

It gave the impression though that maybe Gus wasn't a good guy after all and Amy didn't actually know whether she had done the right thing or not. Poor Amy though being lied to by Pete as well as everyone else!! I'd love it if there was a second series , although I think Amy would probably be better off if she left the Ghost Squad for good!! It did give the impression that she had left at the end, but I think they'd have her back if she wanted to!!!

Elaine Cassidy was fantastic in this series, I liked the fact that it was told from Amy's persective so we were as much in the dark as she was and could appreciate the twists and turns as they came along!

Please release it on DVD channel 4!

That's why I think it worked (for me anyway) because the audience had a similar* journey as the main character and we could get gage feeling from her. Example: if she trusted someone, the audience would trust them and visa versa. It didn't mean we couldn't question her judgement, but the picture of black and white was viewed throug her eyes - and that got more interesting the more disillusioned she became with her work.

* Not 'the same' because the viwers knew that Pete was following Amy when she was with Robert - but I think that was just to show the cunning on McKay.

I hope they release it on DVD too. I did tape every episode and I've definately got more out of each episode the second time around - but I want extras and stuff too!

I hear (well imdb tells me) that Elaine Cassidy has a film out later this month called 'The Truth'. I might check that out if it's at a cinema near me.

I think that the series is perhaps only second to "House" this year in terms of best new drama on TV but I'm really disappointed that it didn't get better covered by the media.

I can't work out why I like it - perhaps its because it show corruption in the Police Force, perhaps cos it's an original idea or perhaps Ms Cassidy's scene in the boiler room!

Hope that there's a second series.

I thought that the editing was just a bit too good!

I didn't like Gus... I mean, he was good for the estate, but he's looking for a wrecked home. I wouldn't be too interested in a guy who had me, Gita AND a wife, and who knows what else...

I haven't got all the GS eps on tape which makes a DVD all the more important to me!!

and imdb told me about Elaine's film The Truth too, I've seen a couple of reviews in film magazines and it seems to be getting 3 stars out of 5. I hope they show it where I live because I definitely want to see it.

Elaine is sweet

This was one of my favourite televisual highlights of last year.

Elaine Cassidy is the magnificent hub around which all the sophisticated ambiguity and appealing characters revolve; performance as Amy Harris is ballsy and youthful without being naive, sensitive and vulnerable without being soppy and avoids annoying piety.

Even if TGS is off the air, I'd still watch a series about Amy signing on every week (please?)
