I'm so glad that season 3 of Thrid Watch is finally being shown But with the episodes that need to be skipped and cuts that have to be made, it would make so much more sense to have it post-watershed.

According to the mod on another board it doesn't look like any of the season 4 episodes will be missed out which is good but I bet they'll still be edited.

its a pity that C4 couldn't put ER in ER's old time slot of 9pm! remember they moved it bak an hour this season (a bad sign for all future seasons)
i also think that it would be a good idea for C4 to show Third Watch in a later slot. i'm sure they've done it before. has anyone noticed that it doesn't get much advertisement? i didn't know S3 was on until flicking thru the TV channels. mind you it was pure luck. i've been scouring the TV mag every week since I don't know when. oh well. beggars can't be choosers. i'm grateful for what we can get.
Typical, I just start watching Third Watch an thinking "that Bosco's pretty cute" and then got a tape out on Thursday and Friday to tape it so's I can get a real eye-full and then he's not on those episodes! (Well, he was, but blink and you'd miss him, sigh)
I missed the early eps of Season 3,thinking they were S2 repeats,but am now catching the end of the run,and I'm just so chuffed that Season 4 will continue straight afterwards. Why CH4 have taken so long too show these seasons of Third Watch is unbelievable,and I agree it deserves a prime-time slot. If the series was shown at 9p.m originally it would now be as big as,if not bigger than E.R in the U.K.
i thought the TW writers really screwed up the pacing by having 2 intense eps about bosco and then trying to copy the same format with sully. i just find the whole russian storyline a bit hard to follow (seen as stuff has been cut) and i don't really care that much! sully is a great character but his story with tatiana got bulldozed by the writers slipped 9/11 stuff in at the beginning of the season (and now we're getting the wedding in flashback?!). i think people can relate more easily to the idea of bosco being a bit brittle and cracking with the pressure, but do we really relate to being a middle aged man with ukranian bride who wants a green card?
just seen that Friends wil be on next week in place of Third Watch, am I right in thinking that it now wont be back on until the summer holiday's are over?

C4 is beginning to confust this TW fan with the bouncing around of the episodes, at least us RTE viewers get to see uncensored episodes, albeit may have to set the video recorders for some of the scheduling - GIVE SPORT A DEIDCATED CHANNEL
YEAH FranKay AT LEAST RTE ARE SHOWING THE CURRENT SEASON 5.THIS WEEKS EPISODE IS NO 102.IT FINISHED STATESIDE THIS PAST MAY ON EP 110 SO ONLY A FEW TO GO OF CURRENT RUN.I HAVE TO SAY THIS SEASON HAS BEEN GREAT WITH THE CHARACTERS OF SGT CRUZ AND OFFICER MONROE COMING TO THE FORE AND THE ACTRESSES WHO PLAY THEM ARE EXCELLENT,TIA TEXADA AND NIA LONG.ALSO,THERE'S BEEN SOME GREAT GUEST STARS THIS RUN WITH ANN MARGRET AND PAUL MICHAEL GLASER TO NAME JUST TWO SO CH4 VIEWERS WILL HAVE A LOT TO LOOK FWD 2 WHEN THEY EVENTUALLY SEE SEASON 5.
What a treat in this mornings ep of TW. Not 1 but 3 of the cast of the brilliant Hill St Blues, IMO the best cop show ever to come from the US. So ch4 when all this crap reality TV EG big brother has finished a repeat run of HSB would be most welcome.
Seasons 4 and 5 have been brilliant. You guys are in for such a treat if ch4 shows them. In a good slot Third Watch would be such a success cos its pretty damn good at the moment and it gets sooooooo much better! But ch4 think that endless Friends repeats is good entertainment! Ch4 should take a leaf out of RTE's book. RTE replies to our emails in a matter of days whereas it takes Ch4 six months if you're lucky!
well said lara,season 4 and 5 have been brill on rte1,pity they show it so late but at least we get to see it.nia long as monroe has been a great addition during season 5 alongside jason wiles etc.long may rte1 continue to screen it and when season 5 finishes here in a couple of weeks time,roll on seasonb 6 early next year,hopefully. p.s-u have great taste in tv by de way re 3rd watch.
We live in Ireland. Its an Irish network or broadcaster whatever you want to call it. We usually see most things before they're screened on channel 4. We see the new series of ER or Friends at the start of December usually. Don't know why.
the main reason is that RTE and other irish broadcasters don't have to pay huge sums of money to acquire rights to screen U.S shows compared to uk broadcasters so therefore in most cases we get to see the shows before the uk.
ive watched one ep of this show-tonight on RTE,I had no idea who the characters were,what the hell was going on with all the interviews of the characters,but i found it really good!Im just annoyed I havnt watched this show from the beginning!It was created by some of the guys form ER,that should have been reason enough for me to watch it!Cool ep tonight...some guy got totally blown away at the end-i dont think that gives away spoliers because i have no idea who it was lol!!
yeah nutz,u'll have to start watching.there's 6 eps left on season 5 for RTE to screen so u've still a chance to get interested.indeed,john wells(er,china beach,west wing etc) is one of the exec producers and 10-12 million viewers stateside can't be wrong. p.s-season 4 will be resuming on ch4 in sept by all accounts.
