Yup, seasons 1 and 2 were the same school year, like you said richard_m87, so they were 16/17 years old. Sansons 3 and 4 will be the same school year as well.

well this week is going to be the last episode of season three which is called "the show must go on" hope ive helped

So to my review of what is the penultimate eppy of the Series peeps, gee whizz, it sure has come round quick unfortunately.

Thought this eppy was really well layed out with the interlinking stories goin' on behind Jake's fairytale narration even if it was a little cheesey some of the time! Thought the idea of the pre-wedding fairy tale play by the cast for Nathan and Haley was awesome, and particularly liked the p*sstaking out of Nathan and Haley's past including the 'Poncho' and 'The Kiss in the Rain'. Am finally coming round to the idea of Nathan and Haley just being happy in thier relationship for once after too many drama's and rows.

Was pleased to see Karen and Lucas back in Tree Hill again and thought their scene in the car on the way back from veiwing colleges for Lucas was superbly done. They seem to be very much distant form the rest of the cast at present after Keiths passing on and are clearly finding it tough to aclimatise to the feeling which has been portrayed with every inch of reality in my opinion and praise should go to the writers as well as the actors. Hopefully the wedding procedures will help bring them back into the fold a little although i can't see there being too many pleasant exchanges between Karen, Deb and Dan if they all attend.

Also thought Marcus' character was awesome in this eppy and am glad that they have brought him back as i thought he gave a certain edge to the show and a different perspective of the teens we have come to know such as Lucas and Nathan. Brilliant deja' vu scenario with Peyton's car breaking down at the side of the road and Marcus coming to tow the car. If any of you missed it, you have to get Season One and you will see where i'm coming from straight away.

Not so sure however about Brooke and Rachel sorta' getting on although Brooke's change throughout the show is clearly for the better, she still can have that ruthless streak in her which is great and there's only so much sympathy i can have for the she-ra that is Rachel, pineing over Coop i mean come on, get a grip, but aesthetics and the cosmetical side of things clearly have inner scars of her self esteem and i guess that Brooke can maybe relate to some of this and in a weird way Rachel may find that the girl she's been bitchin' for so long could actually be her closest ally. Didn't really see the point of the arguement between Booke and Haley about the wedding dress either, guess it's a girlie thing (not meant in a sexist way) but it again portrays Brooke's newfound independance and showed that she is a true friend to Haley with the dress made from thier covers near the end.

The main talking point surley has to be Jake and Peyton, NOT Jeyton (surely this is gettin' silly now!). It has to be said that i've never been that sure about Jake and have always been a complete Peyton and Lucas fan, yes it would work out for all you non-believers out there, but his recent scenes and stroylines have made me see otherwise. Am glad that he has seen sense in making Peyton search and realise what she really, really wants and am impressed that he shows this much maturity in the face of potentially losing her to someone else but that doesn't mean i saw this coming, on the contrary like everyone else i was quite surprised although her feelings for Lucas had been renewed recently with the hostage situation at the high school. Mind you she didn't really help matters by sleep talking his name out next to Jake did she?! She clearly found it hard to deal with in her own head as well as she still love's Jake but realises that what he's saying is what she also feels deep down too. This was brilliantly acted out by both Bryan and Hilarie, and i seriously thought when she had to do the mock scene with Lucas at the end, she was just gonna' let it all out, but instead she consoles her feelings to Brooke! Whoa! Poor Brooke! How the hell is this gonna' pan out?! Hopefully we'll find out more about this and more end of season cliffhangers this coming week.

Speaking of which, can we please halt the talking of S4 on here until after the last eppy of S3 has been shown on E4 so as not to spoil the anticipation and suspense of the Season finale. Not entirely sure how i'll cope without watching OTH on Sundays for the forseeable future, guess i'll just be watching the whole Series so far on slow-mo again!! It has to be THE best US teen drama on Tv. Here's looking forward to the finale.

Finally, as mentioned before S1 and 2 featured the teens during the age of 16/17 and S3 and 4 features them age 17/18 with S4 being where they hit the magic milestone or so i'm led to believe. morven, in reply to your query if you've not yet gathered from our discussion previously, the last episode which was shown last Sunday was Eppy No.21 and so this Sunday will be the Season Finale Eppy No. 22 of Season Three, hope this helps.

oh right fair enough i just watched season 4 eppy 9. was good story lines but a bit half hearted acting i felt. didnt really feel what they were doing was alive.

Can see ya'point there richard_m87, there has to be a Nathan and Haley relationship in this show i guess but i personally think that these two are the wrong characters and that's not to say that it doesn't work, as even i have started to warm to them, i just think that there would be much more depth in a relationship for Lucas and Peyton. Fair enough opposites attract and we now have that in Lucas and Brooke and in cases Nate and Hayles too, but for me Lucas and Peyton were the couple that never was so we can't really tell how'd their relationship would evolve throughout the show. Still like Brooke though!!

Noooo Jimmy, Lucas and Peyton are both too broody and tortured for their relationship to work!! Nathan and Haley definately work as a couple, and i think its quite realistic that they have their differences. Lucas and Peyton would be too similar. Like richard_m87 said Lucas and Brooke have a spark! Brooke brings more light heartedness to it.

I don't think we're ever gonna agree on this one Jimmy, but like you said, the writer's make the decsions, and i guess if the writers wereto put Peyton and Lucas together there is a teeny weeny chance that it might work! lol! It would make a change if nothing else!!

It's just sometimes whilst watching, especially seeing the role reversal eppy a good season and a bit back, i get to thinking of what'd be like if all the teens roles were reversed and how much of a change it would bring and also how the different characters would manage this change in themselves. I guess you have you're basis of structure throughout the show that you gotta' kinda' keep to, but the great thing about OTH is that it can diverse and has that versility that is hard to keep.

It's quite an in depth interview about the show which includes the good fortune of being picked up for the whole of S4, the switch to The CW Network, the competition on the roster, how Marc got into writing and producing, his views on the Chad and Sophia split, and what he'd like to do with Season 5 if it ever got picked up. NOTE, there could be some spoilers of sorts on here but it's only really speculation and just do what i did and skip past anything that looks like it may have spoiler content.

On reading the interview with Marc Schwahn, you get the impression of just how much passion and enthusiam for the show he and the rest of the creative team have for OTH. It's evident when he's talking about how he had everthing crossed upon hearing whether or not OTH would be taken under The CW Network wing or not. He also states his relief at S4 being picked up for the whole series and states that it would have been harshly unjust for the show to be ripped out from under him when he had so much more to give for the rest of the season. It's certainly makes good reading to know that there is this much enthusiasm and commitment behind the scenes of the creators especially when wondering whether OTH will survive to a S5, here's hoping everyone.

Ha!, what's also funny is that the peeps i've badgering to get into the show constantly for the last two shows have just started getting into it coming toward the end of the season, and yeah right am i gonna' lend out my OTH Boxsets especially when the baron spell of No OTH on tv is coming up!!

i think C4 cud probably put OTH on tuesdays at 9 now they hav lost lost i think it wud be a great swap for them, they wud probably hav 2 start at season 1 4 every1 who hasnt seen it!
