OH MY GAWD, OH MY GAWD, ETC. You catch my drift. Sweet jesus, i don't even know where to start of what was a FREAKIN' FABULOUSO FINALE.

Have been gathering my thoughts in the aftermath of last weeks finale and have so far come up with this mass array of an unorganised review, so if you're sitting comfortably!

Before we get to into the goings on of this finale review, i have to say WHOA! The first 15 mins of this episode made up for the slow moving eppys in the middle of this season, like ten-fold! It was quite simply bloody amazing.

NATHAN'S NIGHTMARES- From the start we see visions of Haley trapped underwater screaming for help, of course this is all just Nate's nightmares before the big re-wedding day. Not sure where this idea came from, but it's storyline grows greatly in stature during this eppy.

WHO'S IN THE RIGHT?- Much heated confrontations between Brooke and Peyton carried on from Peyton's admission to Brooke about her inner feelings for Lucas. But who's in the right? It's surely better that Peyton openly admitted to Brooke about her feelings and was just being honest given the thin ice she rode last time, and she clearly seems distraught enough to admit her feelings let alone make any advances. However, Brooke has been here before and got burned by them both, and as much as Brooke has changed for the better, can she or could anyone be really comfortable knowing that her best friend and confidant has these deep feelings for her boyfriend who has previous, to say the least, erm...i didn't think so. SLAP! Holy cow! Brooke let her have it!

THE LIMO RIDE-Could you get any more of a screwed up setting of solidarity with this family. Nathan flanked by his Father, family nutter, brother killer and messed up mayor of Tree Hill, and his Mother, who accidentally slept with his uncle, was addicted to certain pills, and who actually tried to kill his father by arson. Almost kind of a brief funny moment until you put it into context.

THE MISSING CHAIR- A very brief but poignant moment captured with a brief scan across the wedding seats past Karen's attempted brave face on everything and then a very sad look to her left to see the vacany chair beside her that would have been Keith.

MICHELLE FEATHERSTONE- A brief but awesome cameo from the songstress who's appeared on many of OTH episodes abd soundtracks and who's song plays through the coda.

THE WEDDING- After weeks of pre-big day drama's they finally made it down the aisle in quite spectacular fashion, if not a little TOO fairytale. Probably the most un-complicated duo in regards to drama recently out of all the guests, funny considering their past drama's!

RACHEL AND COOP- Quite basically, these two are destined for a right hash of a situation. Continuing on from Rachel's eery obsessiveness to cling onto to Coop with anything she can and generally loxwering herself to a train wreck waitng to happen, and Coop who clearly didn't learn the first time and is now paying for giving in to his sleazy temptation once again. This all culminating in a drunken outburst at the wedding reception speeches by Rachel telling all about Coop, then heading for the hills.

Now you'd think that all of those goings on and dramatic closing scenes would have been enough from reading this, wouldn't you?? But you'd be SO wrong! More follows!!

RECEPTION MUSIC- More about this another time but this song and mostly all of the music in this eppy were sublime and very fitting to the scenarios portrayed.

DAN'S NIGHTMARE CONTINUES- If his on-going guilt about his brothers murder and consequent harrowing visions of Keith as a young boy haunting him wasn't bad enough, then his outburst at Keiths grave just added to the list as Deb clearly knows more than she is letting on and boy oh boy does she let the cat out of the bag after everyone leaves to continue the wedding celebrations at the reception. Her cool calm admittance at being the real culprit of the arson attack at the dealership hoping to nail the coffin on her pyscho ex-husband as she walks away back down the aisle leaving Dan completely speechless and the look on his face told it all. He seemed more shocked and vulnerable than we've ever seen him before and his wimpering by his brother's grave stone only amplified his realisation at what he had done. Dan, Dan, Dan.

LUCAS=IDIOT- After saying it once and saying it again a fair few times, he sure knows how to put his foot in it. After consoling Brooke about her recent insecurities over Peyton and blatantly ignoring her plea to keep the distance from Peyton because of comlications, Lucas tries to honestly resolve things by suggesting that he and Peyton have talked over their Kiss at the High School shooting and have agreed that their feelings went no further than what happened in the Library between them. BAD MOVE since Brooke wasn't aware of this but boy oh boy is she now. Not saying that Lucas should have kept his mouth shut but either be honest or if you're gonna' lie then better to cover your tracks surely. D'oh! CAN OPEN, WORMS EVERYWHERE.

KAREN=PREGNANT-WOW! Didn't see that coming after Lucas found the tester kit in her bag but as Karen said it wasn't her bag, still admitting to being pregnant. Quite like this idea though and can see the birth of this child becoming a really good storyline and something different for OTH and the cast. Although how creepy was Dan comforting Karen as though he was gonna' be there for her, shocking in his evilness. As we see his final scenes of this season laying by his brother's grave all consumed with guilt and sorrow at knowing his catastrophic mistake in killing his brother. death

LONDON=BAD WEATHER- Did anyone catch the cheap slate on our native bad weather that Lucas made. Ha!

BROOKE BRILLIANT- Her overall performance in this eppy was outstanding and she and the rest of the cast really stepped up. What next for her character? As implications suggest whilst searching for her bag frantically argueing with Lucas, has she something to hide? Where's her bag and what could be in it? Her emotions are clearly running high ans she admits to Lucas to have had alot of pressures on her at present, but what could this mean??

WHOSE TESTER AND WHO'S PREGNANT? After her outburst's of emotion, could it be Brooke's bag which has the positive tester kit in it. Or could it be Rachel's as we find her behind the driving seat with Coop as a captive passenger trying to diffuse her mad streak that see's them hurtling along the country roads. There's clearly more to her emotion than not getting in a relationship with Coop, tensions are running high as the two reach boiling point over there flailing relationship. Did Rachel really get pregnant by Coop? Or is it the newlyweds? Who we find leaving the celebrations in thier slightly different wedding car on the way to continue their private celebrations. As Haley and Nathan revel in their moment during thier drive it's clear that Haley is distressed about leaving her bag behind and so calls for it to be dropped off so she can collect it. Could it be her bag?? Brilliant Cluedo style cliff-hanger!

THE CRASH- And so to the climax of the eppy. As mentioned above, Rachel and Coop continue to reach boiling point with Rachel behind the wheel approaching a bridge argueing intensely, and on the other side, the happy couple continuing thier journey after sorting out the brief drama of Haley's missing bag. DEVASTATION follows as Rachel and Coops car loses control and swerves head on into the path of Nathan and Haley who just manage to miss the head-on scenario but witness Rachel and Coop crash thru the barriers and go head first into the river below. Trapped inside and sinking fast, Nathan acts quickly to attempt to save them risking his own life while Haley agonisingly screams and watches on. Will he manage to save them? or will he be trapped as well? Can all three of them survive or will Haley lose her Husband of literally hours?? The ending scenario of the river swelling from the sinking car coming up to the river's surface and the bracelet of theirs floating across the top above the carnage below mirroring the start of the eppy with Nathan's nightmares. AWESOME ENDING AND WHAT A CLIFF-HANGER??

Hope anyone who finds time to read through this review appreciates it, if not then i'm sorry for boring you for the last 5-10mins.

Apologies for the few spelling and grammar errors as my typing fingers start to get cramp! Also the error of Rachel and Coop's car which in fact was the Limo that drove Nate,Deb and Dan to the ceremony.

sorry after reading your lil review and about brookes slap i thought i would add that, brooke's voice during the scence above was just so wow. her acting was awesome, needless to say i've watched that scence more then once cos i needed no promting to write that out:P woo go me...

Wow! Pretty sure thats the longest review ever Jimmy, even by your standards!!! But with such an AMAZING episode there was alot to fit in.

I loved the scene with Nathan, Dan and Deb in the car as well. So short with no dialogue but it conveyed everything going on in that screwed up family!

The mystery pregnancy is a great way to keep you guessing till the next season as well! I don't really have any clues as to who it could be out of Brooke, Rachel or Haley!! Although, when Brooke was talking to Lucas and she said somthing along the lines of "and I'm late........I'm late getting ready". Maybe a little hint from the writers or perhaps just a red herring. Who knows??? I think Karen getting pregnant is really great too though, it will be good for Karen to have a more involved storyline all to herself like that.

As for the ending....AHHH! Nathan!!! Can no Scott family member go one season without some sort of injury, be it a car crash, fire or possibly drowning! Have to admit that the images of the bracelet used were fantastic. As soon as Haley put that bracelet on Nathan's hand i had a very bad feeling that something bad was gonna happen after the dream sequence.

Can't believe i'm gonna have to wait so long to see season 4!!

As for Brookes reaction to Peyton and Lucas. Its hard to say whether she was right or wrong. I think perhaps seeing as Peyton was so upfront with Brooke about her feelings, and said she would nveer do anyhting about it, Brooke was slighlty harsh, BUT then considering the history and the fact that Lucas does spend so much time with Peyton and Brooke has so many insecurities, i think she reactwd as anybody would! OH!! I don't know. What i do think was very powerful though, was Brooke's speech to Lucas when she commented on how he never lets her all the way in. Especially with the way he coped woth Keith's death i can understand how Brooke feels so upset! Maybe increased by the fact that she could be preganant!

Also...If anyone has the DVD boxset, and hasn't already checked out the commentary on the season finale you definately should. If i recall correctly its Marc Shwahn,Sophia Bush, Lee Norris, Daneel (whatever her surname is) and the music supervisor who give really great insights into the episode.

Oh my gawd for the second time in a matter of days, Jimmy cannot believe he ommitted this from his review but as i'm sure you'll agree as some of you have mentioned already that my last review was a wee bit long!

Anyhow as promised, a brief mention of some of the musical highlights from the finale.

Michelle Featherstone, not only appeared in this eppy but she also sang one of her songs 'Man and Wife' at the wedding and more of her material features in snippets throughout the eppy.
Spacebar- This was the band being played during the reception scenes. Totally awesome song that i think is titled 'On again', they probably have a myspace page if you guys wanna' check em' out.
Finally, i'm gutted that i forgot to mention the classic Led Zeppelin at the end, whose song accompanied the coda and not Michelle Featherstone as i previously quoted. This is actually quite a huge deal as i did some research and found that they have only ever lent the rights of airplay to thier songs onto one Tv show before in thier history and that was an episode of The Soprano's so this was a massive coup for OTH, you can bet Marc Schwahn was behind it, but as i'm sure you'll agree even if you don't know too much about them that this song fit like a glove to the coda, a fair match of awesomeness!!

Daneel Harris is Rachel's actresses real name, just for your info., and in answer to the question of when my birthday is, it's this coming Sunday, just missed out on the finale by a week, huh!

Ahh, now Jimmy couldn't possibly let on how old he actually is, but your guesses would provide added entertainment value.

Am having a pretty crazy weekend of it as it goes, have been to see a top level basketball game with some friends and have done the going out thing, as well as a meal with family and friends, so i'm milking it for all it's worth before the dreaded C word is upon us.

Thankyou kindly also to luvpacey for all those smiles.Have had a wicked time so far, burning the candle at both ends etc etc. as mentioned in my last post. Yep, xxxlizixxx and you both guessed right about the C word. It's not that i'm Mr Scrooge, not at all, but it always requires alot of travelling even if it is good to see everyone, still i guess everyone has to aswell. It also seems to start being celebrated earlier every year and there's nothing worse than hearing Christmas Carols being played on your birthday, even if i have begrudgingly gotten used to it!!

Thanks once again peeps for my birthday wishes. Shame there is no OTH on tv tonight. Still think of me if you are thinking of watching any re-runs, it'd be interesting to see what you guys come back with!

My birthday's not exactly at a great time of year either. Being in January everyones always relly depressed because Christams is over, they have no money and the weather is always terrble. However this year i'm not gonna let anyone be grumpy beacsue it's my 18th!!!

xxxxlizixxx, I'm pretty obcessed. But i don't know if i am by other standards. I have all the DVD boxsets, in fact i had to get them as soon as they came out, even if it meant going with out some other much more needed items. I can NEVER miss an episode, and am willing to watch each one a million times! And on occsion i have been tempted to watch an epsiode on E4, then turn over an watch it again on E4+1, but have always managed to stop myself and find something much more porductive to do! If thats obcessed than yeah i am!

Well since you ask so nicely luvpacey!, I'm older than Brooke but younger than Dan, there you go, that gives you a rough ball park figure to go by!!

Good question xxxlizixxx!!! Well, likewise to luvpacey, have all three boxsets and also the pilot episode DVD, Maxim poster of the OTH girls, Soundtracks etc. Will always watch repeats and have enforced an OTH only zone in our household when it views on tv!, and have spread the word to most of my friends about the show...
