but my favourite action of the dvd is being able to pause frame - ahhhhhh!!!! Dylan

i've seen the series 3 times now - yet i still get a thrill with the sting they pull on Escobar

roll on 30th Jan 05 - can't wait!!!!!

on a slightly different note - but still medically related BBC 2 is going to show "Bodies" orignally shown on BBC4 next week - it's really good, written by a doctor, quite an eyeopener, definately recommend ppl taking a look

Hi

I loved the end of Nip/Tuck.When they both said together, "So, tell us what you don't like about yourself" and then they looked at each other and smiled, I loved that.

Not sure if they left the ending like that because they had to wait for the reaction of the audience to see if FX would give them another season. It wasn't so much a cliff hanger ending and I think that's why, although we still don't know if Christian is the father of Matt.

The only problem I had was with the Escobar scene at the end.I loved it, and the music was totally right for that scene, but I was thinking wouldn't Escobar phone one of his friends on the outside of Prison to kill Sean and Christian? It's a terrible thing to say but Sean and Christian have probably just made the whole thing 10 times worse.Escobar still has the same voice so if he called a friend over the phone and said he wanted someone 'offing' they'd probably say "yes boss".

A great show, looking forward to Season 2 and Rescue Me from the same company, FX.That's being shown on Sky One so look out for that.It stars Denis Leary and it got rave reviews in America.
Bodies was shown a while back on BBC3 and it was very good.Keith Allen is funny in it.I think the guy who wrote that also wrote Cardiac Arrest which was one of the best hospital dramas ever.Beats ER, Casuatly.Yet the BBC only made one series and that ended on a total cliff hanger and to this day I still want to find out if Andrew survived the insulin attack. We'll never know!

Sorry for the long post
Soo

If Sean and Christian have access to the FBI most wanted list why didn't they just inform on Escobar with his regular face. They know where he lives for God's sake!
THere are quite a few storylines which don't fit in Nip/Tuck.

In desperation I started using the US forums for Nip/Tuck Can be a bit of a problem because series 2 has aired there already but niptuckfans.com divides series 1 and 2. TV tome has good discussions but the posters get over excited and put spoilers in the subject header (so rude!).

I got so into it that I couldn't stand the wait any longer and bought a bootleg copy of series 2 on Ebay - illegal I know but C4 take so bl**dy long to show the various shows. I will buy a legit DVD when it is released (probably in a year's time).

... like Escobar's a big shoot drug dealer yet Sean can just walk into his house !!! what no guard dogs, only silent Bepe as security !!!
come on its tv we have to suspend our disbelief

one of the most annoying things to me was between Sean and Julia, after Megans funeral Julia said when recalling their past ..."i was so in love with you...." yet the very next episode she said ...." do you think we would have got married if i wasn't pregnant..."
normally the continuaty is pretty good but that just didn't play right (i love Dylan and Joelys scenes together they really work well togehter both very talented imho)

There's a lot of continuity problems.

Main ones I can think of

1. In the whole threesome thing, Julia says she has grounded Matt yet in the next scene he is going out on a date with Ridley.

2. Where on earth is Annie?

3. Cara Fitzgerald goes from being in a coma with her face so battered she resembles the elephant man, to perfectly fine and back at school with almost no recovery time. Yet in other episodes, people with facial reconstructions takes five or six operations to go back to normal.

3. Sorry - the others are from series 2 which has not aired here - don't want to post spoilers! But there are loads, the main one being that Matt seems to have been 16 for several years while Annie appears to not grow up at all.

Any other contributions?

Matt is rebelliing so he should be grounded, but goes out anyway.

2. Where on earth is Annie?

I always am thinking that, she has one actual storyline in Season Two and that's about it. I think a lot of shows do it - The OC is guilty of it with Caitlyn. It is because they have to avoid too much controversy and they are difficult to employ because of harsh working laws.

She only needed one, it was about two months recovery time I think, which is about normal. Like she said, she was very lucky (thought God saved her).

He is 15 at the very start of One and is about to turn 17 at the end of Two.

Channel 4 can't show the episodes until Sky have and Sky always air them in January - they are legally bound to wait a few months before showing them.
I download and then delete them but that is legal, I'd never buy bootlegs - the people making them are selfish and will end up ruining Ebay for others who are being legitamate.

Not quite sure what the difference is between downloading something or getting it via Ebay....

:-)

My computer isn't fast enough to download tv shows, it crashes when I download songs.

It's the free market in operation.

What did you think of series 2? I think it is definitely disintegrating into soap opera histrionics but still manages to be fabulous. I really like Adrian too.

Really? I loved it just as much - the Ava/Adrian storyline was brilliant, I didn't see that end thing coming!
Loved Kimber too, I don't get what some people have against her. I registered at that Niptuckfans site - I'd never heard of it before.

Well Ebay someone has made the DVD and is illegally making money off the name and therefore breaking copyright laws. Downloading is legal for preview purposes as long as you destroy the file within 24 hours. Weird but there you go.

January isn't too long away! I can't wait going to watch them all again and again Big Grin
It's longer too Smile 16 lovely episodes.

I can't stand Gina but I like her character, if that makes sense, lol.

If you start watching one episode a week every Sunday with two extra sometime when you just can't wait then it'll take you up to the new Season perfectly Wink

I'm really looking forward to the next series too. I wonder if Julia's going to come clean about Matt's father, I think it's Christian and if so will she tell him? I also wonder what's going to happen with him and Gina, that should provide some laughs!

Ah yes, oh good finally some decent TV on a Sunday. Although C4's films have been keeping me amused these past few weeks but not as much as Nip/Tuck can
