I just watched it - after 3 days of my pc pi$$ing around - and all I can say is WOW!

Once again(TW finale) tv has bough a tear to my eye lol, even though I knew he was leaving I was still rooting for him to survive
if he is gone for good - which doubt - then Alias wont survive past this year, no matter how good it is

I'm downloading it as we speak but ultimately, I think it's safe to say Alias will NOT be coming back after this upcoming season.

I'm not particularly fond of Vaughn (always found him a bit dull) but I hope J.J and co can do a good season without him.

Just thought I'd let you know that season 4 is repeated from tomorrow on Bravo at 6pm every weeknight. Do you think this could mean season5 is coming pretty soon? Also, I was browsing amazon.co.uk and found this. I think it's ace but I'm not buying it seen as I already have all seasons (apart from 4, but not for long!)

the second episode was good, apart from the predictable 'Hormones' comment from Sydney..........wont be able to put up with that for the next 10-ish episodes

Im hoping that the end wont pave the way for Vaughn to return, although I actually liked his character I think Alias have bought far too many people back to life already

I've now seen all of the premiere and it rocks! Wow! So emotional! I knew it was coming but I was still so sad. Loved how Syd found out about the pregnancy and loved how they hid Jennifers bump throughout the show, my favourite hiding place being behind that moving train. It looked so funny!
PS: I don't believe for an instant Vaughn's dead. Open casket, hello!

Alias isn't doing too well in America. The latest episode was in 70th place in terms of ratings. Not looking good for the future of Alias...

Someone suggested he will comeback as a flashback. Also i don't believe that he died as the clues (the cup which Syd came him) were too obvious and i'm 100% sure he'll be back.

There have been suggestions that it is a dream scene from the pictures seen.

Alias is doing reall badly in the US. The last episode had the worst Alias ratings ever and in the Novemeber sweeps (whatever that is), it's being replaced by 'Pirates of the Carribean'. It's not looking good. Although, I read somehwere that we're to keep our eye on Dixon. Apparently somethings going to happen...

Ye well it was pretty obvious this would be the last season anyway,thats the reason they put it on thursday,they actually have an excuse to dump it. There is no other reason,its pairing with Lost gave it great gains last season,why pull that?

Just started watching season 1 again.......Action, excitement, friends, tension, Humour......all things missing from season 5 (and most of 3 & 4) so far

Alias writers, you have just bought in 3 new actors, if JG cannot handle any action scenes then FFS PUT THE OTHER ACTORS TO USE!!!

Like the addition of Thomas Grace, Rachel might turn out alright, and hopefully after this weeks ep we should be able to comment on Renee as well

Actually, good news. I've heard from someone who knows that ABC is actually very happy with how Alias has been performing this season. Given that it's on Thursday night, the powers that be are thrilled it's claiming any kind of audience at all. And Jennifer is signed through season seven, so I don't think we need to start prepping our goodbyes just yet.

Just watched the 4th episode of the season! It was fantastic! Loved the mission. It just felt like true classic Alias and I'm loving Rachel, even though I didn't think I would! This series is pretty good!

Some random news on the scheduling front. Not all of it has been fully nailed down, so take it as tentative info for now:
Alias has shifted their timeslot for episodes 508 & 509, and are now scheduled to air following "Lost" on Wednesday 12/7-12/14. It's still unclear what this means for the post hiatus schedule.


510 & 511 may air as a two-hour block for the post hiatus relaunch.

ABC's 'Alias' to end run after 5 years

"Alias," the ABC espionage drama starring Jennifer Garner as a sexy, globe-trotting secret agent, will end its prime-time run in May after five seasons on the air, the network said on Wednesday.

No reason was given for bringing the series to a close, but the show has declined sharply in the ratings since moving to a tougher time slot on Thursdays this season opposite the CBS reality hit "Survivor: Guatemala."

"Alias" also has undergone a creative make-over this season as producers wrote the real-life pregnancy of Garner into the show's story line.

It was not immediately clear what role, if any, Garner's impending motherhood played in the decision to conclude the series at the end of its fifth season.

In a statement announcing the move, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson and executive producer Jeff Pinkner promised fans that the show would "rev up" for the remainder of the season as it heads for a climactic finale.

I knew i was the last season the signs were their JG having a baby, JJ making Lost, and the character of MV dying (but he'll be back for finale.

As soon as I found out, my worst fears were confirmed. I knew it was coming yet I still can't believe it. I don't want it to finish! I want a reason for them doing this, it's just not fair! At least we can get a proper send off though...
