I really wish this forum wasn't so dead. Not that I don't enjoy reading your responses but I wish there were more people around to discuss this excellent show.

On another note, I've read a few posts from one person on the forums who is trying to get the BBC interested in picking up SR for a third series.

On the one hand I would love for there to be another series of SR, but on the other hand if there was a decision to create a third series of this show, then I would rather it be C4.

I also think that sadly, it's too late to have a third series. I know that the actors have moved on (Olivia is currently filming 'Lark Rise to Candleford' for the BBC and Lenora has also finished work for the BBC - a show called 'Blood Rush' (I think the name has now changed to 'Kiss of Death' or something like that) and Sarah Jane Potts is also most likely doing some TV work (over in the US I think?)

In a (sad) way, I'm glad it went out on a high, but I am still very annoyed that C4 cancelled the show without a good reason. Even if they had decided not to commission a third series, they could have at least had a TV movie or something just to tie up loose ends.

Ok so still not got my laptop fixed, so it has been a while since i have been on here and i must say the forum has gone slightly dead. Are people just not interested anymore? Or has everything been said that can be? Any development on the BBC front?

Dunno. Maybe the only future for the forum is if people read both books and discuss them? I doubt if I've got the energy for that right now, though.

Sad as it may seem, I'm still interested in discussing the show, but there's really no point if no one else is willing to.

Also, I never really thought that this forum was particularly active in regards to discussing the show anyway (I've trawled back right through to the beginning and the forum is mainly filled with people saying 'hi' and making small talk).

I don't think the BBC was ever really interested in picking up Sugar Rush for a third series. Those posts were more about the forum member trying to encourage SR fans to write to the BBC and petition for a third series.

If the BBC had shown interest, then they would have issued a press release or at least have posted the news on their website.

Well here's some well meant controversy . . . aherm!

I've red your comments above and they don't seem to shed new light, or new direction on the topic of SR
The stuff you've sed has been sed many, many times over these pages
I don't mean any offence cos i'm glad your here and interested - but this is probably why the forum is dying ... we're running out of stuff to say.
Unless you want to begin a new topic??

If that's the case then fine. I'm not offended at all. I have to admit that I didn't really trawl through all 224 pages - only the first few and the more recent ones and that is only because it seemed to me that 'small talk' was being made on the forum rather than proper discussion.

I guess the only 'new' topic we could discuss is the book 'Sweet'. Even though I was warned about it from anfxyz, I still went out and bought it, just because I was intrigued as to how bad it could be, lol.

Btw - I did make some other posts about the show (on pages 223), not sure if what I've written has been brought up before or not. If it has, then I guess there really is nothing more we can discuss about the series!

If not - then what are you waiting for?!

So what did everyone (who watched it) think of 'Lark Rise to Candleford'? I've taped it, so I've yet to see it, but it seems to have been well received.

I was wondering the same thing myself. The actress looked very similar to her and sounded exactly like her. I have no idea if she has a sister though!

hi everyone,i'm a chinese,i've just watched 2 series of S.R and i love it!it's very funny and realist(i guess?).i like specially the part of kim's family, very "british humour",i mean,you english people really good at "auto-critic",that's why i love english novels than french or russia or wherever unovels.it's sad that the SR was finished,just 2 series?!i mean,serially??

I was reading about B.B being axed soon th other day i'll try find more on it nd thn post it. It been on th news that people trying to get on to the show has dropped majorly this year. I'm still working on bridgend biscuit company (bbc) to try get the show on one of their marvelous channels.
