It's a new terrible program like Big Brother that Channel 4 have come up with, where 10 contestants choose the one they think is 'ugliest' (even though none of them probably are) to leave the house.
Doesn't anyone think this is shallow and pathetic? Whats ugly is the way they are bitching at each other. I know I shouldn' take it seriously but I think it's pathetic, embaressing and if anything will encourage bullying amongst teenagers who watch it.
I've heard there getting rid of Big Brother which is one good thing!

Yeah or maybe they'll just cancel it because its rubbish..... try making a program about people feeling good about themselves!

I actually think it may be a good programmein that those of us watching may assess if some of the attitudes of the housemates are also our own, or if we too judge people in certain ways we shouldn't, albeit less extreme. I think it will be more and more infuriating, but also make us think. Does anyone agree?

I wasnt to sure about this as an idea but thought I'd give it a go last Sunday. Oh my God it's SOOOOO bad. And not even so bad that it's fun to watch, it's just bad.

It used 2 be almost impossible 2 leave the house on Sundays what with Hollyoaks and the fantabulous Shipwrecked.. Where's that this year??? Surely Vanity Lair hasn't replaced it totaly?! What a load of rubbish. Come on Channel 4 - bring back SHIPWRECKED!!!!!!

i think the show is really pathetic as well, and i dont even think a lot of the people are even that nice looking, a lot of them are only nice coz of make up etc

i think this game show is good, for entertainment though, for young teenagers it doesnt show a good impression about image!
i think its good, though the reward..why?

the contestants arent stunning, they are just self confessed beautiful people! it's not meant to be all glamour models and fit boys

When i commented before i hadn't even watched it, now i have and it is mildly entertaining, but i still think it's terrible. There definitely all very vain...how does that deserve a prize??
As it is about questioning attractiveness, it is obvious that bitchiness, vainness and self obsession, and as most of the girls are...downright slutty, are the most unattractive qualities. I don't think most of them are that good looking either, but the personalities are the worst part!

Watching so called beautiful people live with each other and compete to stay in the Lair is my kind of programme lol!
But really I like it because sooner or later they will realise that looks are not everything that makes a person beautiful

Lol don't you worry, Shipwrecked will be back soon - probably after Vanity Lair has finished in like 2 weeks. I'm excited already
But Vanity Lair isn't that bad!! I think it's a good idea for a show... But would be more interesting if they had more of a variety of people. And got rid of the people who are NOT attractive I.E. JONNY!
