Destruction is looming in Hollyoaks and the grim reaper comes a calling for some favourite Chester residents. An explosion is set to rip through two of the Hollyoaks sets; beauty parlour Eivissa and the flat in which Becca shares with Sister Nancy and schoolboy lover Justin Burton. The disaster will be on screens in August. The disaster will also mark the end of the several of the younger cast members who will be squatting in the flat next door during the bored summer holidays. Those up for the cull are Sean Kennedy played by Matthew Jay Lewis, Amy Barnes (Ashley Slanina-Davies), Fletch (Sam Derbyshire), Josh Ashworth (Sonny Flood), Mel and Sophie Burton (Cassie and Connie Powney), Frankie Osbourne (Helen Pearson), and Hanna Ashworth (Emma Rigby). Viewers will be left hanging as Becca Hayton (Ali Bastian) and Justin Burton (Chris Fountain) will be fighting for their lives, and one new cast member who have not appeared on screens yet will perish in the explosion. A Hollyoaks spokesperson said that this will be “the most exciting and dramatic storyline in the history of Hollyoaks”, the storyline is the brainchild of new executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.
im glad josh and fletch r going. the point of them was ? (answers on a postcard plz) they were max and ob circa 1998 and lee and bombhead circa 2001 all over again. and hanna...she was just sum1 nancy, sarah and nicole hung out with when none of the others was available! but i dont want sean 2 go i think his character has alot of potential kind of like a scott type character. oh and kill becca but let justin live bcos otherwise there'll just be rhys and gilly to look at and lifes all about variet init lol

NOOO! I dont want Hannah, Fletch or Frankie to die They could've done so much with them characters! And having THREE Ashworths die? Thats a bit rough...

Yeh but they mite have made some spelling mistakes whilst typing it and making typing errors. This could infact be true cuz i heard that justin and becca were infact envolved in the explosion but were not leaving and that nancy wasnt going to be there.

fake.... what editor wouldnt notice two consecutive sentences starting with "the disaster" i know it seems like nothing but a proper writer wouldnt do that. "one cast member perishes".... that means the actor dies...

I doubt Amy is going anywhere since she is going to be involved in a teen schoolgirl pregancy storyline. Why start that storyline and then kil her off.
Michaela though can go up in flames though along with Darren, Justin, Becca and Nicole, along with Ste and Wayne.

I completely agree. I guess it all depends on whether Ali stays on after September, as isn't that when she's contracted till? I don't think Justin will be going though (I hope Becca isnt either) because I'm sure I read somewhere that Chris is contracted till next year, or at least until the end of this one? They're two of the best characters on the show, and I really hope they don't go...like you said it would be a real waste.
