According to inside soap Mandy and Tony argue over the name Antonia and eventually compromise on having Grace as a first name instead.

My sis is called Grace, she getting annoyed now cos its starting 2 get popular and she used to be the only one with that name but now there loads of little girls all called grace!

I think Antonia is a bit pretencious (sp?) seeing as it can be shortened to Toni(y)! i think Grace is better, but i keep thinking on Gracie Lu Freebush from Miss Congeniality! lol

I don't like the name Antonia but at least it has some meaning- an Italian name because Mandy and Tony married in Italy, and she is named after Tony. Where did 'Grace' come from?! That's just as bad as Antonia isn't it? And it doesn't have to be shortened to Toni, maybe they can call her Annie for short. Stick with Antonia I reckon.

Yes is can be shortned to Toni when she is older, but I feel it would be better if she was named Antonia Helen Louise (Louise=Lewis in memory of Mandy's brother ) Hutchinson as that has a nice sounding name about it.

I suggested Helen Louise (Lewis) on the old forum, it would be so fitting wouldn't it?I don't have a problem with the name Antonia either. Like you say she could become Toni, or even Ann if she wanted.

What got me was the fact this week Mandy told Tony to organize everything when he told her when the Christening was going to be but the next day she was trying to organize things behind Tony's back.

I am suprised Max hasn't threatened that little brat Tom with the childrens home for the way he is behaving. It would soon shut him up and stop him blackmailing Max to get his own way.

I thought they were gonna call her Bella. No idea where I read/heard that.... Maybe I imagined it.

Don't really like the name Grace either, I think it's cos it was my great grans name so i always think of it as an old persons name, not a babies!

I liked Bella. After an uncertain start she began to develop into a likeable character but she was then abruptly dropped.

You're right Jods girl names are not normally repeated, though currently there are 2 Sam's (Sam O'Brien and Sam Owen). The writers do however seem to like names beginning with J as currently there are: Jack; Jake; Jeremy/Jez; Jamie (Fletch); Jessica; Joe (though he seems to have vanished!); Josh and Justin.

Grace is going to be the name!
