It seems Kevin Sacre, who celebrated his 30th birthday this year, is the latest actor to feel he's getting a little long in the tooth to be hanging around Britain's most glamorous Student Union Bar and has announced he's quitting the Channel 4 soap.
He says: "I've had seven amazing years here at Hollyoaks and am incredibly lucky to have been part of such gripping storylines. It was always my plan to move onto to other projects once I turned 30 years old, but I will sorely miss working on one of the best soaps on TV."
Fortunately, he'll be going out with a bang as his character Jake, who is already facing charges of attempted rape and murder, agrees to take the blame for killing Sean Kennedy.
Well, might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb.
