As we all believe, Eli is Newts other personality. Newt has a split personality (skitzsophrinia - sp). And at the beginning of the E4 episode, Newt was saying that he loved his new shoes that Frankie bought him. And when 'Eli' was trashing Evissa, he stepped in paint and it showed him leave a foot print and wearing the shoes Frankie bought. The police will then match the footprints on the floor and Newts shoes. Newt will then say he didnt do it, and it was Eli, and everyone will think he has gone mad because no-one knows who Eli is, because Eli isnt a real person but is actually Newt. Also, if Eli was imaginary, he couldnt exactly phyically touch or break something.

Basically what i am saying is that, it was physically Newt who trashed Evissa but mentally it was Eli. This will be revealed by the police when they match the patterns on the bottom of the shoes. Im guessing.

I just signed up to the forums when I saw the other thread about Eli trashing Evissa so would have probably posted this before you but had to be accepted to the forums lol.

I recognised that Eli was wearing the shoes straight away and fully believe that it wasn't a coincidence.

Eli is part of Newt's brain, I am now 100% sure of this.

This does have the makings of an excellent storyline if it turns out to be true which I am more than confident it is.

yeah, I came to this conclusion as well watching it. I don't recall seeing Eli stepping in the paint, but I do remember the camera zoomingin on the shoes, flecked with red paint. Either way, it still leads back to Newt because Eli is bigger than Newt so the shoes wouldn't fit so it'd have to be Newt.

This is becoming a great storyline, although I'm more convinced about the split personality theory than the schizophrenia theory. My friend's brother is schizophrenic and Newt just doesn't fit the symptoms.

OH NOOOOOOOOO!! I KNEW THIS AGES AGO ME AND MY SIS HAD PREDICTED THIS WHEN ELI FIRST CAME INTO HOLLYOAKS!!! Totally agree with your theory. However I feel it is important to point out that multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia are very separate and distinct disorders. Of the two multiple personalities is more likely in this event but it may not be as complex as that. Eli may be a 'coping mechanism' Newt is employing to justify his behaviour.

Hi im new to this forum and id just like to say hi to all my fellow hollyoaks fans.

I think the story with Newt and Eli is really good and i reckon he is slowly going to go more loopy as it goes on - he has already started rocking when he was talkin about vile Nial - it can only get worse!!!

i do believe that Eli is imaginery..although i did think about it again as when Nial was talkin to Newt about Lauren..Nial turned back around when Eli was suposed to have spoke as if he had heard him.. do u think it was rle Newt who said it or Eli could possibly be real!

oh ye n i forgot to add it was totally freaky when he was rocking back and forward sayin " vile Nial" was rle creepy.

I find this story line very interesting, I can't wait till it unravels a bit more.

Someone has to find those shoes that will give it away!

I don't know what to think about this storyline. It all makes sense asto what everyone's saying but if Eli pushes Newt or something nothing would really happen but Eli has shaken Newt a lot and he has moved about, if ya get me. I think Eli would seem better if he wasn't imaginary. I dunno why I just do.

I never really paid attention to eli when he was speaking. I thought that eli was a character.Never knew that he wasn't real. Wow, Imagine that!

yea its a really good storyline as many people will not have caught onto this yet! also eli seems to come and go all the time but you never seem him saying that hes going etc.

hopefully the storyline wont be dragged on when people start to click as it will ruin it but i am now certain that eli isnt a real person!

Eli isn't shaking him, it's Newt's brain doing it all. He thinks that Eli is real so imagines him interacting with him.
