I thought the whole point of bringing Cindy back was so she would take Tom, specilly as she's staying on.

To be honest I really don't think that happens. OB whilst helping to raise Tom for several years is not family, friends can't just take children because they want to. I imagine Mandy would be able to stake a claim as she was the actual carer set out in the wills when his parents died and failing that maybe Steph as she had just married Max. I also don't think Hollyoaks would get rid of Ellis as he is a terrific little actor meaning that Steph would be the most likely carer as as far as i'm aware Mandy isn't returning permanently

Well she's coming back on a six month contract, and BK said that could be extended - so she might be in HO for a while! I hope so anyway. I think she would be the best person to look after Tom - I wouldn't want him ending up with Cindy, and I think Steph's a bit young to take on that responsibility.

I'm stickign with Steph as the parent. If Max and Steph do get married (I think they do adn its after he dies) doesnt that mean that Steph is now teh legal guardian of Tom? IT would be like if anything happemd to Max when he was with Clare, Clare would have got Tom so Im figuring the same applies with Steph

That would be true but only if Max was made the official carer and was not just given Tom by Mandy. But regardless Mandy would be able to have a very strong case if she wanted him as she is a blood relation and particularly as she is now settled with a child of her own she could provide stability. Mind you this is soap so you knows

Exactly. In fact Tom will probably end up going to Frankie - she seems to have a knack of getting custody of kids that don't belong to her

Isn't he his godfather? Plus it would solve the problem of him and Jacqui not being able to have a kid...

its gonna be such a shame to see Tom leave he is by far the best child actor any soap has ever seen

Yeah Tony is a option although realistically Tom would leave when M<andy goes again

Mandy is Tony's ex-wife who left when she was struggling to cope with her baby's death and needed to get away from teh village. Mandy is also Max's sister so she's a blood relative of Tom.

Mandy is Tom's half sister, Tony's ex wife also
