the kid might have had a bad reaction to the chlorine in the pool, that used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid. I had o go swimming once a week with school as a child but every week the chlorine would make me throw up, and I'd have to be taken to the loo by an adult so they could make sure I was ok, and I always cried, maybe because I'd been sick, or I was embarraseed but crying always followed the puking. I'm guessing something similar happened with simon and the boy gilly saw him with. of course when I was a child people weren't so quick to assume somebody was a paedophile in those circumsances!
