Warren gets a hell of a shock tonight in Hollyoaks (Channel 4, 6.30pm) when he visits Louise in prison.

Turns out she’s been in a fight, and hasn’t exactly emerged triumphant. “Look at the state of you,” Warren gasps, as Louise lies battered and bruised in a hospital bed. “I’ve done this to you.”

He doesn’t mean that literally, of course – simply that if it weren’t for him, Louise wouldn’t have found herself behind bars in the first place, charged with Sean’s murder. “I’m gonna hand myself in,” he announces.

Louise refuses to let him, though – and, by way of an alternative, has a cunning plan.

“What if we could find some loser to say that they killed Sean?” she suggests.

Within minutes, Warren’s calling on cash-strapped Darren with a proposition – for which he’s offering a hundred grand.

Before Warren’s even explained what this deal entails, Darren announces: “I’ll do it. It doesn’t matter what it is, I’m desperate.”
