Will this sunset ending be tainted? We know that JP will ask Kieron to marry him when he returns to Hollyoaks. And if you believe all of the spoilers that are going around then you would believe that, despite having just asked Kieron to marry him, that JP will 1)dump the man who just gave up the priesthood for him in order to run off into the sunset with a man who has been back in his life for a few days or 2)Kieron will die at the hands of Niall and JP, seemingly unscathed by the death of his former fiance, will be whisked away by his first love Craig or 3)JP will first break up with his fiancee, fall madly back in love with Craig (in a week) then learn of Kieron's death, feel no guilt, and go off into the sunset.
well as the choice is between loyalty and love no i dont think it will be tainted

guilt is no reason to stay with some one if you are in love with some one else. Craig may be back for a few days its to resolve a year of angst and love

JP is still in love with Craig he never stopped loving Craig hence its not love within two weeks it never left. I feel if Keiron dies then JP will feel very guilty otherwise no use for Nial to do it.
But i really dont want Keiron to die and go on in the show.

Argh, ENOUGH of this McDean banter! If it was me after being abandoned by my boyfriend who was ASHAMED of his sexuality for so long there would be no chance... If this was a real life situation with your friends you would tell him to stay the hell away from Craig!!! I have grown to really care for JP this year since he stopped being such a sap when Craig left. And I really like FK too. Although I think his death will be made to look like a suicide by Niall, which sounds like a good story. But it has been on the cards for a while...Which is a shame.

Craig did not abandon JP at the airport. It was the other way around; JP left Craig at the airport.
And Craig wasn't ashamed, he was confused. No sense debating it though... When Craig comes back, you'll see just how far he's grown and matured since he's been away and what he's come to realize after a year apart from JP.
Like somebody else has said on this forum; I don't want JP to just dump Kieron to run away with Craig, neither do I want Kieron to die and JP think that little of their love to then be with Craig straight awaty. This would lead me to think John Paul's love for Kieron was barely existant, and I'd feel slightly cheated.
In all honesty; I would be quite happy if Craig came back, John Paul expressed his love for Kieron and Craig would leave empty handed. I know, I know, James said before the only way John Paul could leave is with Craig, but still!

But John Paul didn't leave Craig for any other reason that he knew Craig couldn't give him what he wanted, or needed.
And I truly think John Paul does love Kieron. Of course, Caig was his first love and there would always be feelings there, but I don't think has stopped John Paul from moving on and finding a new love.
If JP merely likes Kieron, he wouldn't have risked being hated by everyone for his lies and secrets all over again. He wouldn't see his mum so upset and leave home for somebody he didn't love. The McQueen's are so family orientated, and I just don't think he could put them through that if he didn't think it was worth it.
Obviously it seems he does love Craig more than Kieron, if it is that he choses Craig, but I still think right now he truly loves Kieron.

Kieron didn't give up the priesthood for JP, it's not JP's fault that a priest chose to break his holy vows by sleeping with a teenager.
Anyway, as Father Raymond said the other day, they don't care he's gay or that he's had sex with a teenager, he can still be a priest. He was happy to have sex in secret with JP before, so he'd be happy again.
Besides, the relationship with JP is on the rocks by the time Craig comes back - clearly being an open couple is not as rosy as they imagined, the 30 year old priest and the 19 year old student - so Craig is not ruining anything that wouldn't have worked anyway. and kieron being killed off with help. lol.

This is a great take on the situation. I think that it's so "obvious" to believe that JP will end up with Craig.
Honestly, I was pulling for "the" sunset ending until JP told Kieron "i'm crazy about you." After their one-nighter, and even when JP dumped Kieron, I still wasn't into the whole JP/K setup. However, the way that the storyline has been written since that scene has me totally believing that JP loves Kieron. Now, that's not saying that I think that JP has gotten over Craig....I doubt that very seriously.
I'm hoping too, like Petey, that JP picks Kieron. But I also want it to be a happy ending for Craig and JP. The best scenario, then, for those of us who want Kieron, is that JP and Craig BOTH realize that they love each other, but are not IN LOVE with each other, and that they will be friends.
With that being said, I also hope that Kieron stays with the show. In order for that to happen, it's likely that JP picks Craig. However, in that circumstance, I really hope that Kieron is the one who pushes JP towards Craig and not that JP dumps Kieron. It would be harsh and so unfair for JP to do that, knowing that Kieron gave up so much for him. I hope that Kieron has some sort of epiphany that JP is better off without him, and then Kieron stays in Hollyoaks.
I've said this before, the vast majority of soap opera storylines that bring back first loves generally end with the JP's picking the Kieron's.....the Craig's are brought back merely to stir the pot.

i dunno... every one is expecting SE, it would be funny to see jpk stay together just cause no one seems to even consider it as an option.

I think no one considers JPK as an option because of various different reasons, you have to look out outside factors aswell as whats going on on screen and mix them with a bit of logic and common sense....
1) Guy Burnet says he's ONLY returning to give McDean fans what they want, those are his own words, now I'm pretty sure he knows we dont want a JPK SE!!
2) Why go to the expense of bringing Craig back to have him dumped all over agian and JP stay with K?? HO are on a budget.
3) JS goes in September, Guy is back for a short time in September...what does that tell you?
4) I read back and i see people believe JP is deeply in love with K so how come he hardly batted an eyelid when K left him the other night? Remember what he was like when he lost Craig?
5) JS said if JP leaves it should be with Craig, his own words and that he was campaigning for it too.
6) That convo with Hannah, NO ONE will ever be Craig....he is settling with Kieron because he thinks he cant have Craig when he realises he can it will change the whole ball game.
7) On the HO main page it says will JP go with his ex lover or choose the 'safe option'. That speaks for itself.
8) If you read the DS article about Js leaving it hints that something fatal happens that brings Craig one step closer to his SE...to me that signals the rumour of K dying is still a possibility.

Jake said that the casting requirement for the priest was that he was aged '26-30'. And he said that as HE is 26, he gives the 'lazy answer' and says the priest is also 26 cos he doesn't know how old he is specifically, but people have said that for him to be what he is in the priesthood, he'd be at least 28 or 29.
And I remember originally someone saying that there was a casting call from HO for a catholic priest aged 'around 30' so I think they always intended him to be about 30. He's certainly older than 26.
