Ok, ahem now that I have my composure back. Wow, I didn't see that coming!! When Sophie tricks Sam into turning himself in then says she wants nothing to do with him!! I somehow didn't know that was going to happen even though I am like a spoiler junkie! Wow, shockosoty!
Yep me neither, I had no idea, it left me completely speechless. And I still can't believe she managed to talk him into doing it, he must have really loved her!
I didn't see it coming either!!!! Was it me or at the end did she really have a look of endearment on her face? Like she was only saying that because the police were right there? I dunno - I can't believe she did that. YES - I know what Sam did was wrong- but in the beginning he was pretty much tricked into it, so why should he take ALL the blame?

well clairelou in tonights episode she was all ready to leave but when she found out that he was going abroad she sed that she wasnt goin cuz they would b on the run foreva n always being on the edge n nervous etc, she then sed that the only way that they can be together is if he turns himself in, after alot of pursuasion he agrees to go to the police station but he sed that he did want her to leave, sophie sed that she loved him n that she wasnt going to leave n that she wud w8 for him. after he had confessed she sed that she never wanted to see him agen and that he cudnt expect her to love him after admitting all the rapes etc to her, and that they are over. then sam flipped out sayin that she tricked him into it all n that he didnt rape anybody sophie was lying, he sed this as he was being dragged into the cell. it was very sad n i felt sorry for sam as he has got no one now
I agree, i really didn't see that happening. I mean i knew she set him up, i read that in a soap mag last week. But i really didn't expect it to be like that. I thought maybe she would have the police at the airport waiting, didn't expect that she'd trick him into confessing. But i think that is what made it great. Both actors were great in those scenes too. I really could have cried when i saw the look on Sam's face when he realised he's been set up.

sorry i dont see how ppl can feel sorry for him, he is a rapist, fair enuf he may of been talked in2 it by andy and now andy is gone he will get most of the blame but still wat he did was wrong, the only ppl i feel sorry for is the girls he did it to and his family.!

He's not an evil character at all. Andy was evil, Sam was naive and easily led. Yes, he should have stopped what was happening, but sometimes, and this is a fact, if you feel bad enough about yourself and you have someone that's supposed to be a friend that leads you straight into something and soon you're so deep you don't know how to get back out of the situation you can't help it. That doesn't make you an evil person.
As for his calling sophie a bitch, he was just betrayed by the woman he loved. Okay, so really she did the right thing but he was terrified and uoset and angry and people say things when they feel like that. I think the only thing he has been portrayed as is a human being who got caught up in something he eventually couldn't get back out of. And i think the way he has been portrayed throughout is fantastic.

I think Sam is evil. The only difference between him and Andy is that Andy knows that he is evil, whereas Sam just plays on the sympathy/self pity vote at every turn. He's a grown man, he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he finds every reason he can think of as an ecuse to justify it to himself and to other people.
No he's not evil. But that doesn't mean i condone the situation. Like i said, what he did was wrong, yes and he knows that. If he didn't do you think he would have finally done something about it? Of course not. He was naive, he let himself be led and talked into something. Doesn't make it right but doesn't make him evil either.

no I knew, you could tell from her look at the end of the normal episode, she said yes then looked shifty, i knew she never would have gone with the man who raped her twin

andy raped her twin thats why she went after him and thats how he ended up on a spike
Maybe if he was 14 or so I would buy the andy manipulated him and he was easily led story, but like people have said he is a grown man. Who obvious knows what is right and wrong. He can't be that oblivious and ignorant to the world that he doesn't know what date rape is. Also remember that he raped 6 girls, it wasn't just 1 or 2.
Even though sam is a rapist i do feel sorry for him! he raped girls but he was tricked by andy so he thought it wasnt a bad thing that he was doing! as it was the way andy was saying it!
sophie was well confusingh i thought she was actually gunna stay with him! was good acting i must say. i felt so sorry for him when he was being taking away! does n e one know when he gets out and what will happen?
