Had my first tv audition on monday. Not a clue how I got on but I think I did alright. It was for a new show with Chris Tarrant.
I had to prepare two statements, one false, one true. See if you can spot the false one.

1: When I was 22 I had a motorbike accident, the back end stepped out and highsided me straight through the local undertakers window breaking my right arm.

2: I was propositioned by the guy who was the stand in for Omar sharif in the film Laurence of Arabia.

There's no prizes but you can take the p*ss without mercy.

Fundangle by name, Lovie by contract (fingers crossed)

I think they both happened. The Omar Sharif guy was riding pillion. Hence the accident.

Hehehehe, now there's a mental image.

I like anything like that, 'Call My Bluff' and that new one 'Would I Lie To You?' - it's good fun trying to read people, and work out what's what...

I think the Omar Sharif stand-in one sounds the most unlikely of the two scenarios, and so therefore must be true...

I too went for an audition in August. I've to go and film a show on 17th Sept and I'm absolutely cacking it!!

My 2 statements were:

1. I had a breast reduction.
2. I went to Steven Gerrard's wedding.

I think Fundangle was on 'The One Show' last week on BBC1 - I seem to recall he said it was a piece about people who had the most common name in Britain and he was one of them...

Well, they had a segment on about people who were all called John Smith, so I'm presuming he was one of those... Not sure which one, though...

And he didn't tell us! Where IS that man?

Well I'm just assuming one of them was him from what he said previously - but it might not have been...

After all, you know what they say happens when you 'assume'...
