Yep... I caught the end of this before 'Flight Of The Conchords' - really funny stuff... I might as well commit right now to saying Russell Brand is the greatest comedy talent currently active on the circuit - so watchable and inventive, and a fantastic turn of phrase...
He was fantastic on 'the Royal Variety' show last night, too - if anyone caught that...
I was also very impressed with that 'Big Howard, Little Howard' (the guy doing stand-up alongside his animated sidekick)... A clever idea, that - and I thought it worked quite well...
Brand is very, very good; but I wouldnt say hes the best out there; though maybe you could argue that hes the best of the new-ish crop. People like Stewart Lee and Simon Munnery put Brand in the shade a little; but hes still a great talent.

You probably won't believe this, but I had that EXACT idea which I was trying to get together for my Britains got Talent audition (but I just didn't have the time to do it)!!!

I was well gutted when I saw him on there!!
That's the trouble... Because there's no way of knowing what everyone else is working on when you submit things - overlaps are inevitable...
Also saw Brand in a coast-to-coast American odyssey, getting into adventures inspired by Jack Kerouac's 'On The Road' on BBC4 this week... Pretty good stuff... Even though he did inadvertently moonwalk across Kerouac's grave, and in front of Kerouac's brother...
