that is so true im a 70's child just.i was always out playing with my mates i went where i wanted did what i wanted and nothing bad ever happened to me.

kids are very mollycoddled today although my daughter is nine now and wants to go out and play but with all the perverts and trolly teenagers about im too scared to let her.

if only it was the same today as it was back then teenagers today wouldnt be the way they are.bring back the good old days. Big Grin

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they
carried us.

A negative note here, is that both my parents died at ages 60 and 61, their lives blighted by love of fags and drink, to a degree that when they fell very ill -their bodys couldn't cope with the stresses and strains put upon themFrown

Having said this, I do agree with 95% of your posting Msbabe -there were a lot of good things about the 60s and 70s Smile

no one is saying you can't,i just found it odd cos you made it out to be your own work,it would have been better if you had said what you just said in this post, before you did the topic.

So am I!
I was always outside. I think it didn't rain as much in the summer. I try and get my eldest out as much as i can but cars thinking they are on a F1 circuit and not a street make me concerned.
We use to have imagination. Thats whats missing from a lot of kids now. They are all to organised. It's Ballet monday, music tuesday, judo wednesday, singing thursday, brownies/scouts friday, gym saturday.
No one just lets kids have free play.
