Emmerdale has scored the least panel-voted nominations in the British Soap Awards of the big three soaps.

Its five nods include Best Comedy Performance for Charlie Hardwick (Val), Best Dramatic Performance for Charlotte Bellamy (Laurel) and Best Dramatic Performance From A Young Actor Or Actress for Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle).

Peter Martin (Len) is up for Best Exit, while baby Daniel's death is nominated for Best Single Episode.

how is it possible that emmerdale is still getting less recognition at awards than eastenders??!!!!!

As an Emmerdale fan, I can say with great certainty...

It's because Emmerdale has been killed by the producers and writers.

Emmerdale is rubbish thats why they got the least. I don't watch it regularly but the episodes that i do watch are so unbelievably terrible, i don't watch them for long. Hollyoaks has 11 nominations joint with Eastenders...just shows how a soap can improve over a year soon the big 3 will be Eastenders, Corrie and Hollyoaks!!!!

i used to be a emmerdale fan- but the last 6months, iv only been watching occasional eppisodes.

tsk tsk emmerdale is good,how can it not win anything is so odd,i don't even know how EE can win anything it still has a long way to go to be a good programme like it used to be
